Something I Learned About Pendulums
Throughout my time of using divination tools for my practice, I have had three pendulums. I don't use them very often, but when I do, it's for cleansing a space or answering yes/no questions. I've only used it for whatever you would use a pendulum for. But I noticed something interesting.
After a while, if you don't keep up with cleansing the pendulum itself and you still use it for cleansing rooms and items and for divination, one day it will break. You won't expect it, but it'll just give out one way or another. There were two instances where I realized why my pendulum broke during use.
One instance was when I used it to answer questions while I still lived in my college dorm. I would use my little rose quartz pendulum to cleanse my room pretty often because so many people would visit daily. I wanted to keep my room feeling open and safe for my roommate and me. One day, after doing a cleansing, I used it to answer a few questions I had for myself. Admittedly, they were dumb questions, and I should have known better than to repeat non-serious questions, but sometimes the urge gets the better of me. While doing this, the link to the chain and crystal opened itself up, and the crystal took a pretty hard fall and split in half. I was pretty surprised when that happened to be honest.
The other time it happened was very similar, but with a pendulum I don't use very often. I had a frat alumnus over, and he took an interest in my spiritual items and wanted to ask some questions. I love interactions like this, so I went with it and entertained him. He asked me some pretty normal questions initially, and then asked some spicy ones for the fun of it. I went along with it because sometimes you can just let loose and have fun with your items (responsibly, I guess), and his last question was so bad that everyone in the room reacted negatively, even the pendulum. The bead that connected the chain and crystal blew up! Exploded! It was very apparent that the pendulum did NOT like that.
I ended up getting this fancy pendulum with a metal attachment. I won't use it like I did the previous ones this time, so it doesn't decide to break on me one day. There wasn't much of a reason for me to post this; I just wanted to talk about it.
