The next step....

It is a week tomorrow since I was offered a place at Queen Margarets University to study an MA in Arts, Festival and Cultural Management....to say I am nervous is an understatement......I start on thursday...

The next chapter...

I have been struggling over the last few weeks to find my place....I have been looking for and applying for jobs....but no joy......then tonight I was offered a conditional for Queen Margarets Uni.....Arts, Festival and Cultural Management.. ....a new start.... #newstart #postgrad #nervous

Act of kindness...

I sat and listened with interest on the train yesterday.....a woman sat down and found a card on the seat next her, it said 'Dear Stranger, I am a random act of kindness' She looked around her suspiciously and 2 lads opposite asked if she was ok. She showed them the card and a whole conversation ensued. One lad told her to open it, she refused and said it could be something horrible in it, it could say something like 'I'm watching you'. One lad took the card from her and opened it, they all burst out laughing when it just said 'enjoy your day'. They discussed why it was there and what it was for, suggested it could contain anthrax. The lads called the woman cynical, but said it wasn't that kind leaving a card without money in it.....one lad said it was his birthday and was the first card he had seen that day, so the woman said he could have it....they discussed how sad a person was doing something like that. Then they noticed the facebook link on the back of the card and all 3 looked up the facebook page....at this point I left them to it and put on my headphones....it's good to see how people react to finding something that is free.....
