Promp: how did klance become an official item?
Keith pushed forward a lever in the head of his crimson lion, causing it to lurch toward at full speed at the pale purple galra ship. He ignored the shouts of fear from his fellow paladins. “Keith, what are you doing?!” Hunk exclaimed, but all Keith did was click a button on the side of his helmet and with a small burst of static, the audio turned all the way off. Lance coughed from the electric smoke filling the head of his lion, being partly blinded. As he saw a blur of red and silver, he knew Keith was about to do something really, REALLY stupid. Keith gritted his teeth in anxiousness as he zoomed closer to the ship, before gasping as a pale blue vessel slammed into the side of his lion, knocking him out of his original path and out of the way as bright purple energy struck the blue lion. A blur of green zipped by and slammed itself against the ship, causing smaller control rooms to explode into oblivion. Keith’s vision clouded as bright orange alarms blared, casting an intense shadow over everything in front of him. He couldn’t see the buttons, or what was in front of him, he started wheezing and coughing as his lungs felt tight and uncomfortable, smoke filling the room. His eyes weakly widened as a yellow light slowly floated into view. It was lance. Lance ignored his ship’s energy slowly lowering, and almost on instinct he connected the two lions and darted down the newly-made hallway, into the red lion’s head. He waved his arms around to disperse the smoke around him, until an unconscious red paladin faded into view. He darted up to him and put two fingers against his pulse, feeling it faintly through the thick fabric of his under armor. He scooped his arms under the smaller boy and lifted him bridal style, and ran down the hallway into his own lion. Lance awkwardly sat the passed-out Keith next to his seat and disconnected the lions and zipped away to meet the rest of the paladins. They were all cheering in joy since pidge had ended the fight for a little bit. Silence suddenly rung stiffly through the air as they didn’t see any red lions. “Lance, what happened?” “Is Keith okay?” “Did he-“ he was suddenly bombarded by questions. “He’s okay, he just inhaled some smoke, he’s in my lion right now. His lion, on the other hand..” He cringed as he remembered the crunched up smoking vehicle. “Isn’t so good.” Pidge sighed and muttered. “Well, I can fix it tomorrow. At least Keith’s okay.” The other paladins nodded in acknowledgement. Later when their lions were in the hangar and everyone else had gone to bed, lance sat in front of the unnatural pale teal glow of the healing pod, looking up at Keith’s bruised face. Thirty tics. Couldn’t last too long. A few moments later, the border separating the two snapped open and a bit of misty fog erupted from the door. Keith stumbled forward, bags under his tired eyes. Lance stood up swiftly and caught him as Keith’s legs slowly caught their own balance. Lance was holding onto Keith’s hips and Keith was holding onto Lance’s shoulders like he depended on it. All they did was stare into each other’s eyes in complete and utter silence. “How could you be so stupid?!” Lance suddenly shouted in an emotional outburst. Keith was taken aback and his eyes widened in shock. “You we’re headed straight towards the laser beam! You could have DIED!” Lance said, gripping onto Keith even harder, as if he was still about to lose him. Suddenly, Keith’s soft lips pushed against Lance’s. After a few moments Keith pulled away and muttered “Shut up, you know you love me.”
