Dear JKR,

As readers of the Harry Potter series, we are very familiar with queer-baiting. You may recall a character named Malfoy. We know him as Draco. He’s in love with your protagonist. 

You see, this is entirely out of our hands, as you produced the material that led us to these conclusions. I would like to now take a moment for another pairing you neglected to acknowledge (we know you knew it was there).

I have carefully selected quotes from the newly released Cursed Child script. Please carefully read and assess the following.

Key word in those stage directions: Heartbroken. You can see why this would lead any sensible reader to the conclusion that Scorpius has feelings for Albus. Not convinced? There’s more.

Severus makes a clear analogy here: Lily is to him what Albus is to Scorpius. To refresh your memory, Snape was in love with Lily. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume Scorpius was also in love with Albus. This is not all.

Pardon my language, but what the FUCK is this implying if not jealousy at Albus’ crush on Delphi? Please explain to us what exactly that line was referring to? 

These are only a few examples. I suggest referring to pages 1-308 for more evidence of these claims.

And perhaps some of this was out of your hands, as there were others involved in the project. We get that. We also would have understood if a future romantic relationship between Albus and Scorpius was implied. It would have been left up to our–very active and very gay–imagination. This would have been acceptable. 

It seems, however, that there was a rather extensive typo near the end which made it almost possible to infer that Scorpius was destined for Rose. Of course, that would be unlike you–to set up a beautiful love story between two characters of the same sex only to deny them their love in favor of a heterosexual couple? Never. Not our JK. We trust you will fix this small error.
