OKAY SO
My story is based in 1930s America (specifically Chicago) and centered around queer people and immigrants and their life in this setting (woke 🤯)
My main char is a gay man and a French immigrant (who’s also autistic 🤯🤯🤯 so woke guys) (I also cover a lot of mental health stuff but whatever)
Basically he came to America after his mother died of heart disease and his dad (stupid we don’t like him) decided he hated France and wanted to get a job in America for whatever reason- Alexander (main char) who was 13-14 at the time didn’t really like that idea because he knew like basically no English
But he arrived just in time to start Highschool in America (not fun) (got bullied 💔💔💔😢😢😢🥀I know it’s cliche but it makes sense) but he basically goes through Highschool and gets increasingly worse mental health throughout due to bullying, his dad in general, general bad mental health stuff.
Uhhh a lot of things happen in senior year that I won’t get into but he eventually figures out he’s gay but doesn’t really come to terms with it until he’s maybe 20 years old and doesn’t really interact with the community until 21
Blah blah he becomes a actor and does taxes and stuff now blah blah he’s gay and has sucky mental health and everyone hates him blah blah
Eventually when he’s around 23-24 he meets this guy (Thomas) (a Hispanic doctor (yes those existed)) after one of his performances at a local theater and is like wow this guys hot and yknow Thomas is “straight” and is really confused on why this dude is so hot but he’s cool and kinda just is like “guess I’m gay now” and goes with it
(Insert stuff about how Alexander has never been in a true relationship and believes all he’s good for is sex and that this relationship helps with his self esteem and how cool Thomas is)
They get “married” (Gay marriage is illegal at this time but they have a mini ceremony and get rings and stuff :)) and they live happily ever after!!
Until Thomas like literally dies (it’s for the plot I promise)
But yeah he was murdered by the gang his younger brother was in (basically for being gay but it’s a lil more complicated than that) and this kinda sucks for Alexander because Thomas was really cool and now that he’s dead Alexander pretty much hits an all time low in his mental health which is not very cool
Blah blah depression blah blah stuff about finding out that it’s basically Thomases brothers fault and actually murders him blah blah yeah that’s not very important
Anyways there’s a ton more but this is already too long but yeah that’s basically my Oc lore 😭
