why does everyone pretend it's not a well known fact that veronica lodge was choni's third. occasionally. perhaps frequently. open the yuri schools
My Kimble Hookstraten headcanons
Author’s note: I refuse to move onto season two knowing Kimble won’t be there. I think it’s so disappointing that they expanded on her character just to drop her. Oh well.
“And an old friend of Kimble Hookstraten.” Mhm, sure..
I headcanon that Alex has a fear of putting anything in her eyes. She can’t do contacts at all. Not even eyedrops. When she was prescribed eye drops, it took Casey about 15 tries to actually get the drops in Alex’s eyes while literally holding her down.
so this is casey’s view? interesting
I’m Calex/Cabenson for life, but nobody understands how exciting it would be if these two actually ended up being canon after their little date. Like hello? Imagine the juicy arguments they would probably have when having to go against each other. NO ONE GETS IT. 💔
In my head, Emily has trust issues. Especially after the shit that happened at the lodge. They just got worse after that. Her best friend is dating her ex-boyfriend with little to no remorse, she can feel betrayed if Matt chooses to jump to safety rather than save her, and of course there’s the safe room scene that I’m sure put a strain in her relationship with Mike, Ashley, and Chris. I just feel like she has a huge fear of getting betrayed. But idkk
eye fucking the lawyer that’s gonna send you to jail is wild but also valid
And I won’t say a thing, but read my mind…
Emily and Jessica are so intimate in the remaster’s prologue?? Like hello?? Jessica looks like she’s in LOVE.

❝ often a lack of confidence manifests itself as over confidence. . ❞
this is part 1 of my emily headcanons, because she’s my angel and yet I never gush about her on here (smallest piece of angst somewhere in the mix but it’s like a: “must’ve been the wind” sort of thing.)
Emily isn’t exactly the biggest animal lover. She doesn’t like being around dogs (Sam’s dog likes to chase her when she’s comes over. Now she demands it gets put outside when she visits.), and cats are more tame (Ashley’s cat falls asleep in her lap, and she awkwardly pets it) but she wouldn’t want one as a pet. She does, however, have a soft spot for rabbits.
HATES losing. The sorest loser you’ll ever meet. Falling second place is enough to make her go crazy. It doesn’t even have to be anything academic or sporty. Losing to someone in a game can also ruin her day.
Being a mathlete, she sticks out like a sore thumb when grouped together with the other mathletes because most of them are on the geekier side. But despite her sour attitude, she’s managed to befriend a handful of them.
Even when she and Jessica were friends, she always felt like she had to be better than her in some way. Jessica being more out there and popular because of her brash and extroverted attitude, Emily felt as if she couldn’t keep up. While everyone was drooling over Miss Homecoming Queen, it was always a hit or miss with how people felt about Emily. It was always “she’s too bitchy” or “she’s okay”, no in between.
When Emily started dating Matt, she put on this flirty, suggestive persona just in case there was a chance of him leaving her for the same reason Mike dumped her. Being “too frigid”. However, Emily is still insecure about her performance in the bedroom due to Mike making it pretty clear she wasn’t his best experience.
Emily can be a bit bitter, but she’s never been all that serious. The smallest things are enough to tickle her, including her own jokes.
When around adults or authority figures, Emily is a completely different person. Very respectful and and well mannered. The first time she visit Ashley’s house, she went from ranting to Ashley outside the door, to having a polite conversation with Ashley’s mother in the living room.
Emily did in fact feel guilty for the prank they pulled on Hannah, and had zero intentions on going back up to the lodge. After a talk with Matt and thinking about how much it probably meant to Josh, she caved in.
Emily realized her eyesight was getting a tiny bit bad when she was only two seats away from the board and still couldn’t exactly make out what it said. If then became concerning when she was beginning to have a hard time reading up close, Sam told her she was going to have to get glasses sooner or later, but Em kept putting it off because she felt glasses would make her look dorky. She secretly ordered some online, and the prescription glasses were a little chunky and thick. She only wears them in the comfort of her own home.
She actually loves giving gifts on special occasions. And she’s loaded so her gifts usually aren’t that casual. She likes spending money on her friends to see their faces when they open up whatever she got them.
She doesn’t exactly have a fear of roller coasters or rides, they just make her sick every single time. And if you’re not fast enough, or you’re unlucky enough (like Chris), you’ll end up in the spray zone.
She topped Chris’s high score in DDR.
Emily got stuck in an art class as an elective. She hated every minute of it and she’s great at everything, but her art skills, not so much..
Ironically, Emily can be one of the most sensitive people you’ll ever meet.
She loves teasing and messing with her friends, but when it’s done back to her, she’s thrown off completely.
let’s take a moment to imagine that Alex and Casey crossed paths at least once in court
This scene is like Cragen getting stuck with a daughter he didn’t ask for
Need people to stop writing these two off as toxic in all the fics. They’d be a powerful married couple.
No one loves Alex and Gina‘s beef more than I do
Going into detail about how different the GIRLS were in Until Dawn’s 2012 Beta!
Sam
In the beta, Sam is actually the complete opposite of the Sam we know and love. She’s easily irritated and gets highly annoyed when any of her friends panic or show any sort of fear during the events up on the mountains, liked to gossip and talk negatively about her friend group with Chris, and even would call you a bitch even if you were in the same room (she does a LOT of swearing).
We see in the beginning of the game, she makes a couple advances towards Josh, to which she gets awkwardly turned down.
This leads to Sam not really caring about Josh‘s condition when her and Emily find him all banged up in the mines (and Emily is the one who comes off more sympathetic about how badly injured Josh is).
The game is unfinished, so there could be some scenes or dialogue left out, but in all downloadable versions of the beta, it shows everyone that Sam is eager to leave Mike, Chris, and Ashley behind in the mines and instead find Josh, get the cable car key, and escape with Emily.
If this is true, I would have no idea why Sam would want to leave everybody else behind and instead escape with Emily and ONLY Emily (but whatever the reason was, this plan backfires because the cable car breaks down, and Emily falls to her death to which Sam just walks away like nothing happened lol. Again. Could be because of missing dialogue.)
Be that as it may, she does have her goofy scenes and jokes around with Chris and Emily all throughout the beta.
She was voiced by Megan Raye Manzi.
Emily
The best way to describe Emily in the early version of the game, is that she was basically a wannabe mean girl. It was clear no one took her seriously (and it could be because her voice actress’ voice is nowhere near intimidating, but I just can’t see anyone being offended by her).
She would jab at her friends and they would just brush her off. One could argue that she even got destroyed in her and Jessica’s argument instead of having clever and witty insults like like Emily in the final product.
Another thing I can say about Emily in the beta, is that she didn’t have that 4.0 honor roll. She was like a brunette stereotypical blonde. She was convinced animals could write, had full on conversations with herself, and definitely had zero fight or flight reaction. I love it.
She comes off as really devastated and sympathetic about everything with the Washingtons, and even claims it makes her feel really sick.
Sam also claims that it was Emily that broke up with Mike in the beta, rather than Mike breaking up with her.
She was voiced by Rachel Oyama.
Jessica
In the beta, the game throws in your face that she’s supposed to be a stereotypical blonde bimbo, but I feel like that was poorly represented because she comes off as rather intelligent, despite being more playful than our Jessica.
Not mention she seemed really resourceful (for example: telling Mike how to work the generator).
The storyline is still the same for her. She goes with Mike to the cabin, gets dragged out by the wendigo, and wakes up in the mines (except there was no option to save her).
Another thing I noticed is that she wasn’t as hesitant to get back to the cabin with Mike. In fact, she came off as rather eager, rushing Michael, and even lighting candles once they got there.
There’s also no mention of her having any sort of insecurities.
She was voiced by Tracy Weiler.
Ashley
While beta Ashley was as high strung and easy to scare as our Ashley, she didn’t do a lot of panicking or freaking out. She seemed a lot braver, even when she was strapped down to a chair thinking she was about to die.
She seemed to have something against Emily and even went as far as saying that everything Emily does is a part of some sort of selfish game.
It’s only until her, Sam, and Chris are all together in the safe room, she actually starts realizing the situation they’re in and has to be calmed down by Sam. Which awkwardly cuts to Ashley asking Chris if he meant what he said about loving her when they thought They were about to be killed.
(It’s also rumored that this Ashley was a drug addict addict)
She was voiced by Melissa Benoist.
Ps: Samily shippers please watch the beta’s gameplays, you’ll love it
