This is what we needed! This is how you modernise The Muppets! This is the format you use for The Muppets!
I have been saying for years now that mini-series are the best format for modern Muppet productions. You get more than a film, but you can contain the story without having to worry about future seasons.
Brace yourselves for daily mini-lectures on this show. This is all I will talk about for the next year.

Muppet Christmas Carol, aka "Let's Torture Rizzo for an Hour and a Half."
I did a binge watch of The Muppets 2015 and holy shit I miss Steve Whitmire as Kermit. I forgot how damn good his performance had gotten before he was canned.
There seems to be a stigma around saying this and people are like, "OMG get over it. It's been 6 years." But like, there are people who still say they miss Jim's Kermit and that's chill.
Maybe people think that it's an insult to Matt Vogel?
It was different circumstances with Jim to Steve cause obviously Jim died, but its not impossible to like Matt's Kermit performance, but prefer Steve's at the same time.
Do I wish Steve were still with The Muppets?
Hell yes.
Do I wish they'd bring him back to the detriment of Matt Vogel?
Absolutely not. Matt wouldn't deserve it.
The Muppets (2015) only wished it could give off this vibe....
Remember when The Muppets used to shit-post the most random fuckery on YouTube? One day it's going ham (ha!) on Bohemian Rhapsody and the next thing you know, Beaker is doing a six-part harmony with himself?
There's absolutely no reason why they couldn't keep making those between projects. They're not that expensive to do.

Extra messed up when you look up stuff for the reson they cut that one song from Muppet Christmas carol. Jim fought to keep it in and it was only untill he passed away that they cut it from the dvd release
Ahhh, Jim died two years before the idea for Muppet Christmas Carol was even conceived so....
This isn't something the world was expecting, but it's as sure as shit what we all need. Desperately.

He just provided the creepy little mouse puppets. Leave him alone.
The fact that Jim Henson was extremely determined to have an LSD trip out of fascination will always be funny to me.
The fact that the LSD had no effect on him is even better. Dude was as naturally psychedelic as anyone could be.
Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock `is amazing!
I've been working, so haven't finished the season, but the first five or so episodes have been great. They definitely recognized what made Fraggle Rock the show that it was and play very specifically to those values. There's areas that need improvement, but the first season of a show is never perfect and needs to be given time to find its feet.
There's no miscast in this show. Dave Goelz and Karen Prell jump right back into their characters, although I miss Dave's puppetry. John Tartaglia captures what made Gobo so great, Donna Kimball is wonderful as Mokey and Jordan Lockhart brings out the innocence in Wembley.
(I gotta say though, I miss Steve Whitmire as Wembley and Sprocket. No one really knows what happened between him and the Henson family, but Steve recently said he would have picked his characters back up in a heartbeat if asked.)
Holy shit, the puppetry is astounding! Full-body shots were rare 33 years ago, so to see it so often can take some getting used to. All of it is seamlessly edited in and nothing stands out as uncanny. The mechanics for the Doozers and Gorg heads allow for fluid body language and expression. The Doozers have use their arms mechanically instead of the tiny, stiff, little arm rods!
The practical sets are beautiful (the fact that they are practical is beautiful in itself). The only gripe I have is that the lighting is too bright. There's not enough shadow to emulate the environment of a cave. That nitpick is minuscule though and really doesn't take away from the viewing experience.
If you haven't started watching it yet, what are you doing??? Time to dance your cares away! Save those worries for another day! Let the music play down at Fraggle Rock!
Eddie and Venom literally came into the MCU, acted as gay and stupid as possible, had a baby, and left.
Undergoing my annual Christmas Eve re-watching of Muppet Christmas Carol. It's still brilliant.
Massive kudos to Steve Whitmire, especially in the mourning-Tiny-Tim scene. First time out as Kermit and pulled off so much genuine emotion.
I'll never forget the fact that it was Steve, playing Kermit, playing Bob Crachit and it still felt like Kermit despite it being The first real chance Steve had to perform him.
If people actually stopped and thought for more than a millisecond, they'd stop questioning the sexuality of two Sesame Street characters and realize that The Muppet Show handed us two extremely gay/bi couples on a silver platter:
