The standoff with agents happened on Jan. 8, one day after an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Good in south Minneapolis. Wooten’s refusal to comply with ICE was captured on video and posted to Facebook.
The agents tried everything to intimidate the guard.
“You can’t come back here, bro,” Wooten can be heard in the video saying to an agent wearing a mask and sunglasses. “I’m talking to your manager,” the agent said. Wooten responded: “No, you’re talking to security, I’m in charge.”
ICE left empty-handed. Wooten said he just stood his ground, “10 toes down.”
“I was doing my job like I’m supposed to,’’ Wooten said. “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything. I just want to make my family safe because I’ve been here three years.”

I love how many references/parallels with 'Revelator' we got here! Alya has said here a bunch of stuff she said in Revelator before she had her memory erased, it's ment to happen, just somehow else... And the fact Mari had this monologue with Nathalie makes me think she'll either fail to be the one telling him or that she'll actually find a different way to make him know whithout having to blurt everything out like she did here.
I mean, if the problem was only telling him:"Hey, your father was Monarch" and there was nothing else to add, it would've been easier to tell him, not even worth it hiding in the first place, I get people who say she could've told the truth from the start...
The problem is telling him he was Monarch AND all the things attached to it, all the questions it's gonna drag, all the answers that are even worse than the knowledge of him being a Supervillain! It's an immense Lore Dump and it took so long to briefly throw it on Nathalie at lightspeed, for how much stuff there is! It's already insanely brutal and she didn't even mention the Senti things, it's a lot, even without the extra detail about his origins..
(Which is probably going to be a question once he discovers everything, they could keep hiding it by telling him his mother died for Heart failure -true- without specifying why she had it, but still... In any case, bro needs to know everything soon!!)

I've rewatched her monologue a million times, Christina truly ATE HERE!!! It might be the scene Ezra mentioned the other day! This was the topic I was expecting it to be about, I wasn't expecting how it was used, but I truly love this scene so much because we're seeing how this situation has evolved in Mari's mind, from when she first took the decicision to lie in the London Special/s5 Finale to now, when she has thought about it longer and started regretting it (she kinda did since day 1 tbh)
On the first watch tho I was barely able to follow Mari's words, cuz I was too caught by the beautiful artworks behind her, but If I close my eyes I can admire this amazing performance from the VA!!
