Hi! You can call me Haru! I am 23 years old, and I really like to write! Ace Combat is the main thing I’m into right now, but I have a bunch of things that I really like. If you really want to know what I’m into at the moment you can probably just scroll. Or go ahead and ask me, I’m not shy.
Right now, I’m only writing for Ace Combat, but again, I’m pretty open if you have any suggestions.
Rules for requests:
1. I don’t do smut.
2. If you want the ace in the story, and want them to be specific, please say so in the request. Otherwise, I’m just going to make them kind of generic.
3. I’m down with writing ships, gen, and x readers. I’m also not picky about what ships I write about.
4. I can’t guarantee how long they will be, or when they come out. I’m mostly doing this for fun, but there are times when I’m super busy and just don’t have the time to work on them.
5. I’m also going to post them on AO3 and Fanfiction.net unless you specifically ask me not to.

Meine Kneipe
October 1925. Five years after Osea officially prohibited the creation and distribution of alcohol. About six months since Trigger had to leave her home and accidentally stepped into the world created by the people breaking the law to do it anyway. The seedy world of bootlegging, speakeasies, and rum-running.
The first time, she says "To me," and the mirror dutifully shows her her reflection. And she is pleased.
The second time, she says "To the King," and she is pleased to see herself once more.
The third time, she says "To the Royal Advisor," and is once more satisfied to see herself.
The fourth time, she says "To the scribe who takes the King's letters." She is shown the man's wife. And she seethes, but quiets herself, for it is only right that a man loves his wife.
The fifth time, she says "To the Court Wizard," and is shown the man's departed mother as he remembers her from his youth, radiant and smiling and warm and larger than life.
The tenth time, she says "To the Stable Master," and is shown the fastest horse in the stable, majestic and free as the wind even in captivity
"To the baker," she is shown the man's daughter, young and adorable and full of joy and laughter.
"To the artist who did my portrait," she is shown a painting of a woman done by the man's teacher, who he still looks up to now that he is well established himself.
"To the Royal Knight," she is surprised but not displeased to see the castle's entire guard force in the middle of doing drills.
The one hundredth time she asks the mirror, and it asks her "to whom?" she once again says, "To me." And she does the same the one hundred and second, and again and again and again.
It is a different person each time, and they are all beautiful.
This isn’t mentioned in Brotherhood, but the reason Roy and Riza came to Resembool scouting out the Elrics is because someone fucked up the ages on Ed and Al’s file.
Literally Roy and Riza are riding in the back of some horse-drawn carriage into Resembool chatting with the driver like “yes we’ve heard rumors of two alchemist brothers here, Ed and Al Elric ages 31 and 30 respectively. Do you know where they live?” And the driver pretty much answers with “lol what? Those kids are like 10.”
Except now Roy and Riza are already THERE so they decide “Fuck it. Let’s pay a visit anyway.”
So everything that went down in the series is thanks to some mysterious fuck up in the Amestrian Intelligence Department and I salute that person.
"Man, look at that downpour. I don't think it's stoppin' anytime soon." Vyrn's sigh echoes through the small cave the four of them sought refuge in. Just outside the entrance, jagged like teeth, the relentless rain looks almost like a curtain made of water. But inside, it's almost cozy. They're dry and free to listen to the rain drumming on the top of the cave, like it's trying to reach them.
Lyria closes her eyes and breathes in the petrichor as she relaxes.
Djeeta lights a small candle to provide light, flickering shadows and warmth. Her two companions both promptly flock to her, drawn in by the heat.
Seofon sticks closer to the cave's gaping maw, mesmerized by the patterns the drops paint on the outside world.
"It's fine," Djeeta decides. "We'll just stick it out in here. We've finished our job and the villagers are safe - we can afford to take a little break."
"I wish we'd brought lunch," Lyria sighs.
"Why don't we tell stories to pass the time?" Vyrn asks. "That oughta distract you from your grumblin' tummy."
"Spooky stories?" Seofon chimes in and the girl in blue promptly goes pale.
"How about we don't do that," Djeeta offers in turn and pulls her friend into her warm embrace.
After a moment's thought, they launch into a meandering conversation and the boys even manage to keep away from scary subject matters - no matter how many meaningful smirks they exchange, like they're each trying to wind the other up enough to take the first step. But a warning glare from Djeeta is usually enough to get them to behave.
Once or twice she pats the ground beside her, a clear invitation for Seofon to take a seat, but he waves her off each time and sticks closer to the watery onslaught outside.
"Um," Lyria suddenly pipes up, a surprisingly bashful expression on her face. "I just remembered. There's one thing I've always wondered, Seofon."
The Eternal shoots her his friendliest smile. "What's up?"
The girl presses her lips together and wrings her hands for a moment, like she's trying to gather courage from empty air. Blush blooms on her face like a flower. Finally though, she decides to just go for it and looks at him straight, eyes burning with shocking intensity: "When is it that you first fell in love with Djeeta?"
"Huh?" Djeeta bursts out.
"Why'd you wanna know?" Vyrn can scarcely hide his surprise either.
"I'm just curious. Sorry if that's a weird question."
"You don't have to answer that," Djeeta stammers, failing to meet her boyfriend's gaze. Fingers brush against her cheeks, like she's trying use them to hide her own bashfulness. "If you don't want to." She looks about ready to curl herself up into a human pretzel at the awkwardness of having to face the reality of her boyfriend's feelings for her, yet something in her expression betrays how badly she wants to know, too.
It's a bit funny to watch her squirm, but such an honest question deserves at least an honest attempt, Seofon supposes. He raises a finger to his chin and tilts his head with a hum as he mulls over Lyria's request.
When was it?
Was it the first time Djeeta crossed his path, back at the Knickknack Shack, covered in mud and monster guts, shouldering the legendary sword he'd only ever dreamt about seeing? Even in its dulled state, its beauty and promise shone brightly enough to light up the night and the twinkle of those seven gems had colorful shadows dancing all over its wielder's exhausted form. But despite the dirt that was caked onto her skin, the girl's eyes shone even more radiantly with a quiet idealism.
One that never went away, no matter how many times their paths crossed.
No matter how many warnings he spoke, or how many times they crossed blades.
He vividly remembers each time those eyes bore into him, each time they faced off. Be it sun, rain or snow.
Was it one of those times?
Was it at the party his dutiful captain threw for him after he strongarmed his way into her crew? Or the quiet moment they shared just after? It was the first time they got together just to chat, after all.
Was it when they met at the sunny beaches of Auguste and took down some poachers trying to cause trouble? Or that second year, when he rushed to Djeeta's side (at the last possible moment, just like heroes do) to help her save Lyria from an onslaught of electric eals? Fighting side by side with her, with relief hanging off of her like a blanket?
Or maybe that time at Levin...
Was it at her birthday party? The first one? The second? The third?
Maybe the first time she handed him a bag of cookies for Valentine's Day, even when he ran his mouth about it to overplay how much the unexpected gift meant to him? Or the year after that, or the one after that?
Was it when he, in an effort to repay the kindness that would never cease to amaze him, gave her some return chocolate on White Day? when she finally ran along with his stupid jokes, even when he could feel her reluctance? Still, despite positively drowning in gifts from her adoring crew, she seemed so genuinely happy to accept his, too. He remembers how much his chest tightened at the sight of her face, then. Was that the moment? All it did back then was spur him into trying even harder for her on special occasions, to make sure she'd keep coming back and give him more opportunities to impress her.
Was it for Halloween, perhaps? That glint of mischief in her eyes when she smugly demanded candy, secretly hoping for an opportunity to play a trick? He recalls a shock of ice cold water to the back of the neck. It was hard to be upset though, with how carefully she'd planned that one and with how genuine her excitement was when her plan had worked out. Ah, or that other year, when he felt dejected about the other Eternals blowing him off and she shared her candy with him and promised him a party just for the two of them. By the time they got around to that, he knows he was already head over heels, so it would have to have been before that.
Or maybe it was altogether a slower process.
So many times did their paths cross, seemingly at random. So many times did he watch her selflessness, her generosity, her shine. Even he came to rely on her and she did everything she could not to let him down.
She gained the trust of all the other Eternals and helped them with their problems and at some point along the way, maybe at the party they threw for her, when he saw her don the garb he'd made for her, or maybe earlier, he realized that it would always be her.
Their paths were always meant to cross. She would always be there at the end of it.
And she was.
When he let the Seven-Star Sword have just a bit too much fun, it came down to her. Somehow, he'd known it from the start. Still, he felt surprised in that moment. Not because Djeeta raised her sword against him, but because she sheathed it, too. Because there was an 'after'. Because she saw what he was capable of and let him go on.
She even helped him patch things up with everyone else after his little rampage.
Maybe somewhere along those lines...
But then he thinks back to the many conversations they've shared, the many different looks she's given him over the years and it feels like it was always there, just outside of his reach. Something in her eyes. That idealism. That light.
Whether it be wielding a sword, or spear, or her bare fists, she was amazing, driven and dedicated.
Her goal was to achieve the impossible, yet for some reason he never once doubted that she could do it. Estalucia. If someone in these vast skies could do it, if someone deserved to go there, it would be her. And he really meant it when he said that he wanted to go with her.
Between fights and laughs and quiet moments, shared in sunlight or beneath the shimmering stars, she had become a fixture. Wormed her way in.
Did she always shine so brightly or did that come over time?
Didn't he always follow her because he wanted to see where her path would lead her? Didn't he always hope she would stay in the light, because the alternative would mean snuffing out such a brilliant spark and bringing her journey to a premature end? But wasn't it her, who in the end stayed true to the light, so true in fact that she even managed to guide someone like him?
When was it that it happened?
When was it that he first noticed?
So many moments, each but a piece in the mosaic of his feelings. No matter how she looked at him, whether with fondness, anger, laughter, sadness or pride, she was always Djeeta. Selfless to a fault. Radiant. Incredible.
Seofon opens his eyes again to look at this amazing woman, cuddled up with her friends in the warm light of her candle, trying not to look too expectant while waiting for his answer. She's got that look like she desperately wants to know, but just as desperately doesn't want to have to ask. Her arms wrapped around her torso, like she's trying to give herself a hug, seeking comfort from the situation something inside of her has deemed to be awkward, so she clearly requires a shield. Still, she's not closed off.
Finally, her gaze meets his and she flinches when he cracks a smile. He doesn't have to force it, it just happens.
Radiant, incredible and yet so skittish sometimes. Truly amazing. One thing is guaranteed and that's that there will be no shortage of excitement when Djeeta is around.
"The moment when I first fell in love with Djeeta," he languidly repeats the assignment, just to gain another few moments of watching his girlfriend squirm in slight discomfort.
He's going to get her a treat later to make up for it, her favorite, but for now, he just wants another little second of fun. Just one more. Just...
His mind replays his favorite ways she's looked at him over the years, including the one from this very morning, when she smiled that sweet and vulnerable smile when she saw him right after waking up that he'd never share with anyone else, and even that look she's giving him right now. Excited but unwilling to admit it. And suddenly it clicks.
