My heart is beating… but my mother’s is slowly stopping in Gaza 🚨
Right now, a pacemaker inside her chest the only thing keeping her alive is failing. Its battery is running out, and in Gaza, there is no second chance.
This is not just a request… this is a fight for her life. Every second brings her closer to losing her heartbeat forever.
She survived war, fear, and hunger… but now her life depends on a failing device.
Please don’t scroll. Reblog, share, help before her heart stops.

My mother is getting worse every day, and time is running out. We need just 52 people to donate $25 to reach at least 50% of the goal.

MARK ROTHKO Untitled/1969
So...This is cool. However, you can probably guess it's pretty inaccurate, probably old and from a book that was printed with limited color.
But there's a funny history for me with these because in the early days of the blow so many of the black and grey paintings photographed more blue (cool lights perhaps) or greenish (on the brown and grey stuff).
Lots of factors contribute to this, but one of them probably is that photographers wished to bring the dimensions of color out of some of the paintings that look very monochromatic. we've been through this over the years with the 1964 series as well as the 68-70 paintings. At times, I imagine. flash photography was also a culprit.
As far as i know, this painting is not out in public, but the dark paintings are hard even for me to keep track of , David Anfam expressed some consternation about their cataloging to me, and he had seen a lot a huge number in person.
One of the signs here about the old scan is the white space, which Rothko never used.
Two scans I have of this are more muted, but the contrasts of the pictures are interesting
This is a different painting but you can see here in some of the more translucent areas how poor photography or reproduction could lead to high contrasts in the backgrounds. I could go on but I won't bore you, feel free to ask any questions of course.
Okay, happy Sunday!
