Twisting and mixing into the space, a dark looming fog slowly raises from the ground. Shifting, making up forms of dread and despair, shadows of doubt and disdain, shapes of pain and paranoia.
Green watches quietly as the fog dissipates, revealing the hospital room. The headlight makes a poor job of illuminating, leaving corners pitch black and shadows long and terrifying. The ongoing, forever noise of the ventilator floods the dark space, echoing and flickering the ambience.
He lifts a hand, and a bouquet comes into his vision. Daisies crammed together in a black wrapping, petals falling apart as the flowers rot and decay like the corpse lying in front of him.
She has a light brown hair that cascades down the skeletal body like a polluted river. Pointy and hard, the skin cracks into dust around the bones, flesh and fat long gone.
The putrid smell mixes with the fragrance of rotten flowers.
His mother lays deceased in the hospital bed. Her eyes, empty and dull, stare into the ceiling as she displays a neutral expression that betrays her feelings about her "life".
His own face remains neutral. The guilt of dooming her weights heavy on his slumped shoulders, pressing his lungs and he feels himself unable to breath, like she did.
He leans closer, words dead in his throat. His mouth opens but no sound comes out, or at least nothing loud enough to surpass the constant noise from the ventilator.
His eyes fall closed, exhausted, dry. His heart beats heavy in his chest, slow and strong, about to give in his own breath of life.
Breath that could not escape as his neck was enveloped by cold and bony fingers, squeezing it tight with extreme and unbridled hatred. His eyes snap open to revel the undead figure of his mother, crawling off her bed and onto him.
His back hits the cold and wet floor as the corpse pushes him with devilish strength. He gasps for air, insane, paralyzed by fear and confusion, feeling his neck muscles crack and snap.
A ghostly familiar voice echoes, silencing the machine and flickering shadows.
The room becomes darker and darker, eyes of judgement and shame pointing at the selfish man, too weak to even defend himself.
"Why must you breath by my expenses!"
"Weren't you born I would have never become this!"
"I despise you! I despise you! I despise you! I despise you! I despise you! I despise you!"
His mother strangles him as she violently pushes his further against the hard floor. Her skin falls apart, revealing crackling bones and squirming worms.
They fall down her body and litter his face, crawling and biting his lips, burying themselves into his flesh.
Her face disintegrates, revealing an old beige skull. The skin grinded into dust no long holds her eyeballs in place, and they fall rolling to be lost forever into the dark corners. Her jaw snaps and cracks, teeth falling into holes worms dug.
He remais unmoving. His limbs refuse listening and watch in contempt as his mother kills him, screaming so loud and so high his ears bleed. The haunting shriek of her voice lingers despite her body rotting and dismantling.
Even after she's completely gone, the words bleed into his heart like stubborn knives. He feels the worms crawling under his skin and the warm stream of blood sprouting from every inch of his body.
"I despise you! I despise you! I despise you! I despise you! I despise you! I despise you... ..."
And yet, she couldn't even kill him like he deserved.
The lights dim further and further. The shadows grow bigger, darker. His vision gives in to complete black, forcing him to focus on the squirming hungry larvae consuming his flesh and his soul.
Only if it could all cease.
