You wake up every morning to fight the same demons that left you so tired the night before, and that, my love, is bravery.

New year resolutions
There are 20 mins left of 2015, so here are my new year resolutions for 2016.
- Exercise and eat healthier to lose some weight and improve my health to reduce my inflammatory arthritis in my joints. - Draw More. - Get into painting. - Buy a bike and bike everywhere. - Read more and become smarter. - Improve my work ethics and procrastinate less and become a better designer. - Get out of my comfort zone and be more outgoing with new people. - Follow my heart.
Overall just become a better me.
Still working on these…some I did do, others I have to remind myself to do for 2017. Honestly it just hit me that it’s 2017. 2016 really flew by. One more thing to add for this year: - Travel more. Shooting for Mexico City, New York, and LA.
Time for 2018 - graduation year
this past year 2017, I got the chance to go to New York and LA + San Diego! I also went to U of I, Milwaukee, and Devils lake (twice). Almost had it for Mexico City, but it didn’t happen. So fingers crossed for this year.
- eat + feel better - read - bike more - travel! to Mexico City + another country? - graduate + land a job - improve my relationship with people - become financially smarter
2019 resolutions
Slowly becoming the person I’ve always wanted to be.
- Becoming financially stable soon...pay off credit debt - Get my own apartment + decorate it the way I want! - Work hard at my job - Travel to Mexico, China? Spain? San Francisco? Travel More. - Continue side projects...work harder - Become healthier...eat better and work out...improve health issues - Help parents and family

“Say… say you love me.” “Don’t do this to me. Please.” “Say you love me or you’ll regret it, Monty. If you feel it, then say it.” “No. Just stay with me… stay with me.”
Places where reality is a bit altered:
• any target • churches in texas • abandoned 7/11’s • your bedroom at 5 am • hospitals at midnight • warehouses that smell like dust • lighthouses with lights that don’t work anymore • empty parking lots • ponds and lakes in suburban neighborhoods • rooftops in the early morning • inside a dark cabinet
playgrounds at night
rest stops on highways
deep in the mountains
early in the morning wherever it’s just snowed
trails by the highway just out of earshot of traffic
schools during breaks
those little beaches right next to ferry docks
bowling alleys
unfamiliar mcdonalds on long roadtrips
your friends living room once everybody but you is asleep
laundromats at midnight
what the fuck
galeries in art museums that are empty except for you
the lighting section of home depot
stairwells
•hospital waiting rooms •airports from midnight to 7am • bathrooms in small concert venues
I just got the weirdest feeling I swear
OK LISTEN THERE ARE REASONS FOR THIS!!!
A lot of these places are called liminal spaces - which means they are throughways from one space to the next. Places like rest stops, stairwells, trains, parking lots, waiting rooms, airports feel weird when you’re in them because their existence is not about themselves, but the things before and after them. They have no definitive place outside of their relationship to the spaces you are coming from and going to. Reality feels altered here because we’re not really supposed to be in them for a long time for think about them as their own entities, and when we do they seem odd and out of place.
The other spaces feel weird because our brains are hard-wired for context - we like things to belong to a certain place and time and when we experience those things outside of the context our brains have developed for them, our brains are like NOPE SHIT THIS ISN’T RIGHT GET OUT ABORT ABORT. Schools not in session, empty museums, being awake when other people are asleep - all these things and spaces feel weird because our brain is like “I already have a context for this space and this is not it so it must be dangerous.” Our rational understanding can sometimes override that immediate “danger” impulse but we’re still left with a feeling of wariness and unease.
Listen I am very passionate about liminal spaces they are fascinating stuff or perhaps I am merely a nerd.
I, for one, appreciate your passion for liminal spaces and thank you for explaining it to the rest of us.
Okay, I love everything about this, but is anyone gonna talk about why Target is on the list? I’m not saying it doesn’t belong there, I’m just wondering. Since it’s neither a liminal space nor a place out of context.
Come on, Science Side. Science me.
chely turned 2 today!
I have failed countless times.
anyway yesterday evening in Ariana’s Dangerous Woman concert i saw so many buff muscular men.. like i’ve been to a number of Pop concerts but there were soo many of them here that it almost felt like i was in the gym. and you can tell they were gay or bi too AND there was a mix of masculine and feminine gay/bi men but they were all BUFF. like not only Allyana GrandeSupremeCourt approved marriage equality during her birthday, freed the gays with Break Free, but also AR-in-shape-IANA GRANDegains motivated us to work out
#the reason she licked the donut is to tell us we can have cheat days LMAO CARLOS OMG
im so fucking tired of having too many things to do...I just want to focus on one thing I actually want to do, not just for the sake of finishing a degree.
this is so cute
