One thing I wish more stories in general tackled is how kindness takes energy and effort. How compassion takes energy and effort.

How learning these things takes effort. How it can be done. How hope doesn't come from nowhere.

This is something I think is also something that Hazbin... kind of needs to do to be honest.

Even has a bit of a responsibility to do.

Because it is sorely needed.

There was this scene in a visual novel I read ones, can't remember exactly which one, a few years ago where there was a scene of wild goose hunting via shooting them down... I got a small mental image of Velvette and Val doing something similiar to that in regards to the....."lowest earners" from the Vees business company, in regards to how the two of them have established connections with shooting/long range weaponry of some kind. Valentino with his guns and Velvette with her bow etc. Or a sort of them playing a live Angry Bird in a similiar manner.

One of the reasons I find myself leaning towards Alastor taking on a more antagonistic role in later seasons( or rather potentially in season 3) is his ongoing spiral and starting isolation. Compare and contrast how he is with the Hotel cast in season 1 vs 2 to a degree. But....contrary to the more popular take in the wider fandom of him taking on a mastermind villain role....I honestly think he, if he were to become a villian as opposed to the more....well neutral role he's had more so far, Alastor would be more inclined to be a opportunistic villain rather than one who plans an eloborate long term plan that's been in the background the entire time. From what has been shown, it is more likely that Alastor by established character moments, such as when he gets the idea underneath the statue in Cannibal Town for him to work with what is present to him in the moment. Alastor is someone who, while he does to an extent live in the past at least in reference to his preferences on doing certain things in some specific ways( like chores or other everyday things, perhaps due to familiarity and it bringing a sort of comfort), Alastor is still someone who does to a degree still live and interact in the here and now.

Been thinking a bit about the Hazbin slight redesigns for the reimagining au and.. Like I got this idea of Vaggi, who is actually a human soul here, with heaven being...well not really the utopia it pretends to be. Yes, it still has a better general material conditions than Hell and such but there is a lot more fascist undertones and with the addition of Heaven's population actually knowing about the Exterminations, which has been going on for far longer than seven years. Anyway, I got this mental image of Vaggi having brown wings that blend into her hair a little bit.... Ugh. Should probably think about this more. I've been mentally picturing the wings a bit like that of a sparrow bird.

While I am not quite sure of what to think of Alastor as a character overall....

Well, yes he is a cannibalistic serial killer and canonically has tortured and broadcasted the screams of his victims in what can somewhat be described as a fate worse than death, or more similar to more traditional depictions of Hell....

Like?

Most of the time he acts a lot like an everyday average jerk to a degree.

I hoping for a potential conflict between Sera and Emily in the future, where they are in conflict as equals and that neither of them are completely right or wrong.
