i haven’t really been to any really dry states apparently? i guess that just means i have to travel more, but that’s a future goal. i mean it is a lot of outdoors but there’s a good bit of covered rides, tours, places to go and things to do. that’s what i love about being at disney, you never have the same experience twice. okay that’s my favourite ride. i love just spinning around and around and watching the world just fade into colour. maybe that sounds cheesy but definitely worth it, even if there’s thousands of variations elsewhere.

that’s not so bad, i don’t think. it gets that hot up here where i’m at, just minus the humidity. i should be able to survive, at least the duration of my trip, haha. as long as it doesn’t rain or anything it should be good.

it’s absolutely delicious! they serve it at almost all of the character breakfasts i think, or really anywhere where you can make a reservation for buffet-style breakfasts. don’t hold me too that though because i haven’t tried EVERY place there is! apparently the humidity makes all the difference? or at least that’s what i’ve heard. i grew up in a very humid place so i wouldn’t really know, but we get guests all the time complaining about how much muggier it makes it. even if it rains, there’s still a lot to do in the park. i mean, we don’t really shut down unless there’s a huge storm.

god, i'm just thinking i'm gonna have to start pulling in extra shifts to cover all the things i'm going to want to do when i get out there. the weather should be pretty nice, right? i mean, sunshine state and all.

it’s not a bad thing! having strangers on the internet believe in you, i mean. yeah... the bad part is that everything is crazy expensive, but the good thing is that it’s worth it and then you spend days on end dreaming of chilled strawberry soup after you leave. if by nice you mean hot and muggy then yes, nice! it gets pretty humid down here, fair warning. that and sometimes in may the temperatures can skyrocket into the 90s and even maybe up to 100. depends on the day. i’d say just keep an eye out on the weather and hope for the best (:

yeah, i seriously doubt i’ll use the hotel as more than a place to sleep, when i’m not at the park i’ll want to find my way to the ocean somehow. there’s gotta be a bus out to cocoa beach, right?

 that makes them better than celebrities, then. at least i think so.

i love it, actually. i don’t think i can claim that title quite yet. chef-in-training, maybe? i’d like to get there one day. i’m going to culinary school right now, and i’m interning at a local restaurant. hopefully one day i’ll have my own position.

now i’m just thinking about all the food i’ll want to try there at the park. i’ve heard there are some really amazing restaurants.

i don’t think there is... but you can always rent a car for a day and drive out there or maybe get a bus part of the way there and uber the rest? lol true! i’d say you’re a chef. even if you haven’t finished culinary school, if you’re doing something involving cooking at a restaurant, that, to me, is a chef. (: i think it’s awesome that you’re going to school for your dream goal and i’m sure you’ll be an awesome chef someday. there really are! honestly, when you go around there’s going to be so many places that you want to eat at. make sure that if that’s your main goal to bring a good bit of money because all that food gets expensive!

depending on how much it costs to get a hotel room in the area, i'm hoping i'll get to spend two days in the park. i considered some of the on-site hotels, but the cheaper the place i stay at, the more time i get to spend there at the park, you know?

no, that totally makes sense. i'm a little jealous, honestly, i wish i hadn't moved away from florida.

i get it, though, wanting to make people happy with what you do? i mean, it's not the same thing, but i really like cooking, i like to think i can make people happy that way.

that makes complete sense. the park resorts are great but they’re not worth it if it means that you’ll have less time at the parks, mostly because you’ll basically never been in your hotel anyway. if you’re looking for cheap resorts, try the all star resorts. their prices are usually pretty decent. if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay, airbnb is great for that. when my friends came to visit, they stayed at some place for half the price of a resort, so look into that! some think they are, but not really. they’re just the people that get paid to make kids happy in a visible light instead of just around the park. yeah! it pays to be friends with a cast member (: free passes now and again. you like to cook? i’m crap at that, but i always appreciate the ways that people can elevate ingredients into something that tastes and looks amazing. are you a chef then?

 what, seriously? the theme park near here has fast passes and you have to pay for those! i feel like i’ve been getting worked over now, man, disney really is the best.

 oh, that’s alright! i don’t want to get you in trouble. so they’re really secretive about stuff? i guess that makes sense, considering how popular the park is. do people bug you a lot to try and get you to sneak them into the park and stuff?

compared to me, you’re definitely an expert. and it’s nice that you seem really into it, it’s definitely helped me.

i think if you were trying to get like a whole day of fast passes you might have to pay for that. or have really good connections, but i’ve never looked into it. that’s why it’s the most magical place on earth! that’s basically it. they just don’t want people who are working with the characters to be bombarded and whatnot. it’s a very big deal if you tell people stuff about the characters, and that’s grounds for termination so i avoid it if i can. actually no. most of the people i know either already have annual passes or they’re friends & family who i can get guest passes for. we accrue those pretty easily so i’ve never had to sneak someone in, just gave them a pass (: disney was my whole life as a kid, so it just makes me happy that i get to actually be involved in making other people happy with the thing i spent so much time being happy about! that made no sense did it?

EXACTLY like a fairytale! i know i keep saying magical but it really is. magical. no need to thank me! i’m here to help (: adventureland is so much fun, one of the best parts of magic kingdom i think, but i don’t think people appreciate it as much as the other parts of the park. oh you don’t pay for fast passes! each guest gets 3 fast passes per day free with their ticket that you get to reserve ahead of time (they say do it a month in advance but i've done it right when i got to wdw or the night before) and then you can get more at kiosks but you have to wait in line for those and you can only do those one at a time. if you’re at wdw for multiple days it’s not really worth it as long as you plan out where you want to go. i’m not allowed to tell you actually sorry! i can tell you sometimes i work in epcot and sometimes in magic kingdom but you know...that’s not that much fun to share. an expert? me? i wouldn’t really say that but thanks for the compliment.

 yeah, it’s pretty cheesey, actually, if you hear the whole thing. i don’t know how much of it is true, but my aunt told me they had their first kiss in front of the castle, and there’s tons of photos of them at the park. i don’t even know if any of those places are there anymore, does the park change a lot?

 i’ve heard about the lines. i’m hoping if i go in the middle of the week that might help some. i wanted to plan the trip for the winter time, i’m in nebraska, so the weather would still be way better than what i deal with, and i was hoping there’d be less people, but may was the only time i could get off work.

that sounds so romantic and so perfect and cute! i’m a huge sucker for anything that involves disney romances. they’re so wonderful to hear about. to my knowledge, the park doesn’t change too much? if anything, they add more than they take away but if there’s any specific places you’re curious about i can check for you! middle of the week definitely helps. so does winter, but sometimes it doesn’t always work out. make sure you get there as early as possible because the second classes are out, a lot of the local kids end up at the parks and it starts getting more of a rush. you might also hit a huge college rush depending on what part of may you’re coming! also fastpasses are your friend because they get you on those rides that have insane lines, like thunder mountain. i do! i’ve been here for three years now (: i help out with one of the characters.

there’s lots of magic here so i’m sure you’ll find the magic you’re looking for! aww that sounds so sweet! i love hearing good stories like that about disney. it makes my day happier. characters are always really sweet to the guests and they make you feel like you’re really in a place that doesn’t exist anywhere else. if meeting characters is something you’re interested in, i’d make sure to see if you can fast pass any of those meetups, because some get really crazy and have a huge line. well...i’ve been a ton of times, but i also work at wdw so i know a lot i guess :D

yes! well, at least that i’ll remember, i guess technically i was there once before, but it was when my mom was pregnant, so maybe that doesn’t actually count. it’ll just be me going, no one else.

it kind of counts? maybe? no one’s going to share the magic with you? that’s okay though there’s a lot of fun magic to find on your own (: well even if you’re not a HUGE disney fan you’ll still have a lot of fun. you’re looking less for the secrets behind disney and more for the best way to spend your vacation then? character meals are awesome. basically you book a reservation at one of the disney restaurants, or at one of the resort restaurants that participate in character meals and you get some amazing food and while you’re eating, characters come around to your tables, say hi, talk to you and take photos with you. it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s probably one of my favourite things disney offers! that and the parades.

i’m trying to plan a trip to disney in two months, at the end of spring. i’ve never really traveled before, and i need to make the most of this trip. are there any secret travel tips? anything i absolutely have to do to get the full disneyworld experience? and within a reasonable budget?
