For Vivi Cakes, Happy Belated Birthday!
HEY BB~! Sorry for the wait, but I decided to write for Yamamoto since I basically know him the best (/) . (\) I also wrote him as an adult, since bara baes are the better baes <3 I hope you like it though~! And again, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY~! @dmwlscenarios
You heard a loud voice echo in the hall, your name breathlessly resonating throughout the building. The only references to how late it were the beams of the moon shining through the large windows, as well as the silence in the otherwise rambunctious estate. You, yourself had already been heading towards the exit, hoping to get home early enough to have a nice, relaxing time on your game console.
However, judging from who had called out to you, you get home as soon as you wanted.
Turning swiftly, you encountered a certain black-hair man walking towards you, a hand extended in a friendly wave. His suit was as dapper as usual, a crooked smile always worn as an accessory. As he stopped in front of you, his tall stature stood out to you. While intimidating to enemies, it left you feeling safe and comfortable. Yes, being around Yamamoto was like being wrapped in a blanket. Safe, secure, and stable.
Lightly adjusting your glasses, you sent him a small smile. “Hi Yamamoto. Can I help you with anything?” It wasn’t rare to see him stay so late, considering his training regime. The man trained more than he slept, you’d be willing to bet.
“Ahh,” He rubbed the back of his head, a sheepish smile stretching across his handsome, boyish face. “Yeah, actually. I wanted to ask you something.”
Brows furrowing in confusion, you nodded gently at him. While you were both on good terms and enjoyed each other’s company, it was rare for the both of you to be alone like this.
“Are you heading home right now?” He asked, noting your bag in one hand and your cellphone in the other. “Do you drive?”
“No, I actually like walking. Although, I might take a taxi home now…” Of course, the night was significantly less safe, especially since your affiliation with Tsuna’s family wasn’t a secret. You weren’t ashamed, not at all. In fact, you were proud to be part of his family. However, out in the middle of the night, you almost wished that rivalries between families didn’t exist and that there could be peace.
Of course, that wasn’t feasible. You couldn’t hold back a sigh at the thought of having to pay to get drive back to your place.
“I could drive you back if you want? That is, if you’re comfortable with that! I’d just hate for you to have to pay for a taxi when I can drive you back free of charge.” He smiled his dimpled smile once again, making your knees weaken a small bit.
“I-It’s fine! I-I don’t mind…” You trailed off, feeling heat pool at your cheeks at his offer. Alone, in his car? You don’t think your heart could take it.
“Matter of fact, I insist!” He said, cheerfully whistling as he walked towards the entrance. Not wanting to risk sounding ungrateful, you bit your tongue and trailed after him. It wasn’t long before you were seated comfortably in his car, heat blasting to prevent the night’s chill from reaching you.
As he drove, he talked about a lot of things. Stuff about baseball, stuff about his father’s sushi shop (which he invited you to try), and what growing up with Tsuna and the others had been like. Smiling and nodding alone, you added tidbits to the conversation, if only to keep him musical voice going. Aside from giving him directions, you basically forgot your reason for being in the car with him. As conversation effortlessly flowed, you didn’t feel the time pass.
At least, not until you reached your destination.
Pulling up to the curb, he put the car in park and turned it off. Before you could open the door yourself, you got startled at his sudden exclamation.
“Hold on, let me!” Quickly unbuckling his seatbelt, he got out of the car and went to your door, opening it while smiling and offering you a hand. “Ladies first.”
Feeling your face bloom an even darker red, you gently took his hand. He cradled it softly in his large, calloused one as he closed your door behind you. Still holding your hand, he walked with you to the front of your door. There, he turned to face you, reaching for your other hand.
“So, um, I kind of had an ulterior motive to offering you a ride…” He trailed off, chuckling softly as he rubbed circles on the top of your hands.
Before you could let your mind wander to dirty conclusion, he remedied his sentence.
“I had actually wanted to ask you if you wanted to go on a date with me this weekend? I know this might seem out of the blue, but I’ve been wanting to ask you for the longest time.” Another crooked smile that sent your heart into a frenzy. It was safe to say your face was a tomato at this point, and you couldn’t look him in the eye without thinking about the danger of your heart exploding.
“T-This weekend?” Gosh, was that squeak your voice? However, Yamamoto only smiled wider.
“Yeah, there’s an ice cream parlor near the park that just opened. I was thinking we could… get to know each other better over some ice cream and a walk in the park?”
Flickering your eyes up, you got caught in his gentle gaze. No pushiness, no pressure, just hopeful eyes that encouraged you to answer. His thumbs continued rubbing circles on the tops of your hands, keeping you calm as you thought the proposal through.
“I.. would love to, Yamamoto.” You shyly replied, a smile blossoming on your face at the sight of his ecstatic grin. Mustering up some courage, you shifted your hands so you could intertwine your fingers with his. Holding hands in the middle of the night with a man you’d liked for so long… There was nothing like it.
Looking up at him, you caught his eyes once again. Only, they were far more gentle. Gazing at you with an affection that made your heart ache, he leaned in closer to press his forehead to your own.
“Vivi… Is it alright if I kiss you?” His warm breath caressed your face, fingers tightening slightly around yours in anticipation.
Okay, so your face was on fire now.
A tiny, almost imperceptible nod came from you, eyes squeezed tightly at the thought of his lips on yours.
His lips fell on yours with a quiet passion that left you slightly gasping. Not wanting to push you too far, Yamamoto settled for repetitive pecks, his soft lips brushing yours with a silent sensuality that left you wondering how he could still seem like such a boy. You slowly calmed down throughout the pecks, even giggling when he playfully pressed kisses to your upturned cheeks and tip of your nose.
His chuckles and your giggles mixed with the silence of the night, making an almost melodious sound. A comfortable atmosphere surrounded you, with you giggling under the playful, sweet love that Takeshi had to give. You knew this was one moment you would never forget.
As his lips pressed a final kiss to your forehead, his arms pulling you in for a hug, you couldn’t help but wonder what other kinds of memories you could create with him.
As well as what other kinds of kisses he could offer.
