... is instantly enamored with his Tsum. He didn't realize that the world above had these squishy little… bean things!! It basically becomes his new best friend and the thing he shows off in every conversation he has.
Tsums can’t talk, so Rielle has to rely on observing its body language to guess how its feeling or what it wants. He’s not the best at it, so it’s pretty much trial and error to figure out the Tsum’s needs.
It’s difficult for even Rielle to keep his Tsum under control! It keeps bouncing around and cannot keep still. He chases it all around the place, to no avail. Now he knows how his RSA classmates feel when they’re chasing him—
Tsum!Rielle loves antiques, bauble, and knick-knacks of all kinds. It finds itself especially attracted to cutlery, so it’s a particular menace in the kitchen. The ghost chefs have caught it rubbing against a fork’s prongs in an attempt to do its hair!
… It almost gets served for lunch 💀 Tsum!Rielle got mixed up with the stuffed crab shells and only managed to escape when Rielle shoved him onto his plate and scurried off before a mob student could take a bite.
His Tsum hates being told what to do and being talked down to! Actually, it makes a point to do the exact opposite of what you tell it, just because it wants to prove you wrong. Bashes people with its entire body if it overhears them calling it childish.
Somehow is an excellent swimmer, despite its flabby little arms. Rielle keeps his hands cupped under the Tsum for emergency support anyway, letting it doggy paddle in a sink.
Keeps getting stuck in small openings and crevices. Rielle’s sure that the little guy tried to cram itself through any available hole to explore, only to end up trapped.
It loves music! Tsum!Rielle is drawn to a scallop shells-shaped musicbox in Rielle’s room—the one his father once gifted his mother. He winds the box up and lets it play, and his Tsum self spins round and round with the song until it tires itself out tucks in for a nap.
… doesn’t know what to make of it. None of the books in the palace library ever taught him about the existence of such a strange creature.
It’s a reckless one. Tsum!Mina keeps attempting to leap off of high places (while flailing its limbs). Mina saved it from peril every time. He has concluded that the Tsum wants to fly, is intentionally seeking thrills, or both.
Somehow gets inside an hourglass that a professor left on their desk. It pathetically struggles in the sand. Mina lectures the Tsum before helping it free.
It has a natural affinity with cats. Quickly makes friends with the local strays, even to the point of them allowing the Tsum to ride on them for quick transportation.
He takes it with him into Foothill Town, letting the Tsum browse wares with him. When it spots something it likes, it whips out the puppy dog eyes in an effort to convince Mina, who’s the one with the wallet between them. (By the way, this was after Mina had to pluck it out of a fruit vendor’s stall and apologize to its owner for his “pet” eating an apple without paying.)
The Gary Stu of Tsums everywhere. It can do complex calculations in its head. It’s showered with compliments on its beauty. It can run a marathon on its stubby little legs. Other Tsums cope, seethe, and vibrate with jealousy over Tsum!Minajael.
Everyone loves Tsum!Mina. They keep coming up to ask Minajael if they can pet it or even boldly ask him if they can take it off his hands for him. Feeling bad for the poor thing, he turns them all down and shoves the Tsum inside of his jacket to protect it from more solicitors.
Hates being confined anywhere, especially small spaces and cages. Will inflate itself as big as it has to in order to break free. Has caused untold amounts of property damage in its efforts to jailbreak.
It’s a vigilante 😭 Not only does the Tsum escape itself, but it sneaks around helping others escape, too. Opening cages, undoing leashes, etc. The campus is in chaos as all the animals kept for Animal Linguistics are set free, and the Tsum’s positively giddy about it.
