My prediction for Skybound‘s Stunticon arc.
You probably saw that Breakdown from the recent Skybound issue looks like his Prime counterpart. We don't know if there will be two Breakdowns like in IDW, or if this Breakdown is a Stunticon. But given the fact that Blaze mentioned Motormaster here, the latter theory is highly likely. And if they go with that route, it's likely they will say BD left the team, or that it's before he joined the Stunticons.
"So, if they are gonna say BD left the team, someone has to replace him.So far, Offroad and Blackjack from Combiner Wars, and Wildbreak, Heatseeker, and Slashmark from RID 2015 are considered 'bonus' members of the Stunticons. Even though my favorite bonus Stunticon is Wildbreak, it's likely they are gonna use Offroad since he once replaced Wildrider in Combiner Wars and IDW. Among the bonus Stunticons, who aren't very well-known characters, he and Blackjack are the most recognized ones.Or alternatively, they might use all the bonus Stunticons and make the Stunticons into a mafia group, or they might make a whole new character, or even turn an existing Decepticon into a Stunticon.
But due to the recent rushed Elita Prime plot and making Jazz follow Elita, which felt completely OOC, there are some concerns:
1. They are gonna make two BDs
2. The Stunticons do nothing but die fast
3. They combine Breakdown but make him betray Knock Out"
"But despite these concerns, I would like to share the scenario I imagined for the Stunticon arc.
You probably know that Dead End appeared as a standalone character in Cyberverse. So maybe they are gonna say that Breakdown and Dead End left the team long before. (For Dead End, I think they could say he became a berserker zombie as a ROTF comic reference, or an ammonite Predacon as a Beast Wars Neo reference). And in the issue where the Stunticons show up, Motormaster will appear with Wildrider and Drag Strip to get them back. But you probably know how Skybound is. They kill off well-known characters like Bumblebee and give obscure ones their own spotlight. So... it's likely they are gonna kill off Wildrider and Drag Strip as soon as they appear.
After that, MM will kidnap some Decepticon soldiers who match the Stunticon traits, and those will be Offroad, Wildbreak, Heatseeker, Slashmark, and Blackjack. And you all know how cruel Skybound Decepticons are, so maybe... this version of Motormaster will be a complete monster who will make his previous counterparts look like saints. He would treat his new team as nothing more than replacement parts, abusing them both physically and mentally, which is gonna make the bonus Stunticons suffer a lot."
And at some point, Drag Strip and Wildrider are gonna come back from the dead, and Motormaster is gonna somehow get Dead End and Breakdown back. This is gonna create a lot of drama between the original and new Stunticons.
And as you know, there's a popular theory that Wildbreak is the child of Knock Out and Breakdown (KOBD). Even if the authors know about this theory, it's unlikely they would make them an official family since people still have mixed feelings about same-sex parents, and Cybertronian reproduction is really complicated.Instead, the author would likely give Breakdown and Wildbreak a father-and-son-like relationship, where BD helps WB survive. And since BD is friendlier than other Stunticons, he likely would help the other bonus Stunticons too.
Lastly, all ten Stunticons are gonna form the
'Ultimate Menasor,' who is gonna be way more unstable than before due to Motormaster's abuse and the combined mental instability of the entire team.
There are two ways to end the arc:
Either the Stunticons are gonna team up to kill MM and run away, or Menasor becomes so unstable that the entire team dies in a massive explosion. To match the brutal tone of the Skybound comics, the latter one is highly likely.
Thanks for listening and I hope Skybound is gonna go in this direction we want.
