How in the world was he meant to react to all of this? Perhaps he was just worse at social cues than he thought he was. He elected to ignore the voice in the back of his mind that told him he was (shut up, Beefton!). Still… he couldn’t quite grasp what was happening. Child. Green sweater child. Okay okay okay. Uh… mundie? Inscribed? He wasn’t sure. Didn’t feel like it was the time to ask.

“Um… hello there,” Sylvie shoved a hand in his pocket, feeling for his yoyo (No! He wasn’t going to attack a child for no reason, Beefton! He’s being cautious!),” Would- uh- you be willing to maybe tell me where I am?”

Lost. Ugh. Sylvie was lost. Not that he’d ever admit that, sure, but he was. Sometimes he got distracted. Sometimes he lived up to his epithet and got so drowsy that he couldn’t keep track of where he was going. Maybe he should have listened to Molly when she told him to keep a phone on him at all times instead of just having his office phone. But- bah- what did she know? He was a therapist, she was just his friend client.

      Chara stared at Sylvie for a few minutes from afar, they didn’t want to approach if this was one of those people that despised the monsters for- some reason, but when they were noticed, they started slightly, being yanked out of their thoughts.

      “This is Ebott Village. I’m surprised you didn’t know.” Charas voice sounds ghostly, there’s a bit of an echo to it, and they tilt their head without a sign of any other movement, adding to the quiet eerie vibe of the child.

      “How did you get lose here? There are monsters and... well, disgusting creatures- humans- everywhere to help out if you just ask. Anyway- where are my manners?” they smile slightly, holding out a hand. “Greetings. I’m Chara.”

         When Sylvie shakes Chara’s hand, a loud pbfftttttttt rings out, and Charas smile cracks and their serious facade falls as they snicker.

      “Always works.”

      Asriel was in a huff, his siblings were being jerks again, acting afraid of him as if they had any reason to be. Of course they were, he was a glitch, a mess-up now, but that shouldn’t matter, it was their fault, he didn’t do anything. 

         He’d left the void without a word to them when they were starting to get upset at him.

         Maybe immature, but he was sick of being hated.

         He sat on a bench in the park, he knew this was a deltarune timeline, been to one of them before, and he knew he generally had to avoid Kris’, but he couldn’t care less right now, he could feel anger pulsing in his broken soul like it was gonna explode at any minute.

         He tried to focus, mess with the grass instead, simply projecting his magic towards it made small flowers grow and bloom, and vines made little designs on the ground. He didn’t notice somebody walking up to him while he was doing it.

      Chara found themselves in this timeline by mistake. They needed a break from Frisk and Asriel, as the stress that seemed to radiate off of them got... tiring, hard to deal with. So they’d hopped to this timeline, though the second their feet touched the ground, an instant regret shot through them like a bullet.

         They saw the dust on the ground, and a shaky breath left them. Great, a no mercy route, they didn’t want to be here, it filled them with too many memories- but they didn’t want to go back yet, they’d be faced with question upon question from their friends.

         So they braved it, simply wandering through the timeline and letting themselves get lost in thought.

         It broke after the thirty minute point, when they saw somebody. Chara recognized them as a Frisk, and their hand shot up to hold onto their necklace by instinct, a fear reaction.

         They knew they could escape, and- by their own experience, timelines like this were.... lonely.

      “Hello?”         

         They would never want to leave somebody alone if they could help them recover instead. “...I’m Chara- are, are you the Frisk of this timeline?”

Quick thing about undertale muses

I will likely NOT interact with people who use GENDERED PRONOUNS for the KFC squad. As a nonbinary person, i hate the idea of people taking it and saying it’s ‘up to interpretation’, because it isn’t, they are all explicitly nonbinary and i’m uncomfortable seeing them referred to as anything but they/them. 

UNLESS they are demiboys and demigirls OR you have them using those pronouns DESPITE being nonbinary, and yes, i will check your blog or factcheck with you in DMs, it’s a personal squick of mine, so i’ll always check for it, but chances are, if you’re simply playing them as a gender that isn’t some form of nonbinary or agender, I will not interact, and if you keep pushing, i may very well block you.

The only way around this is if you talk to me and inform me that you’ll be using gender neutral pronouns for them during our threads, however if this is the case, it should come as no surprise that I won’t follow you, but I will be more lenient about interacting with you.
