introduction to my marauders base reality ☆⋆｡𖦹°‧★

the girl: charlotte jane lupin (lola) ✩°｡⋆✮

twin sister of remus john lupin, everyone knows her for her love of books, the colour red and fleetwood mac. you could often find her in her Gryffindor common room hanging out with her best friends, Lily Evans, Marlene McKinnon and Mary Macdonald - probably listening to music on a record player they stole from Sirius Black. Her best subjects would probably be History of Magic, Divination and Charms- but her favourite would have definitely been astronomy. Like fate, her s/o is also left up to the whims of the planets- though emmeline vance catches her eye often. She has never liked the name Charlotte- so insists on being called Lola- though her mum still calls her Charlie.

the brother: remus john lupin (moony) ☽｡⋆

the one person lola can tell anything too. the one person remus has never hid anything from, because lola has been through is worst and best days alongside him. Being the boyfriend of sirius black , remus naturally loved queen, david bowie and T.Rex - but his mother had made sure his favourite form of entertainment was reading. Remus was a fan of taking his mind off things, as well as being the smartest in the room- so his default setting was studying- making him be the top in nearly every subject (much to Lola's annoyance). Though, if Remus had to pick a favourite- Defence against the Dark arts would be it.

the dorm: Marls, Mary and Lily ⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚

Lola's best friends in the whole wide world were her gryffindor dorm mates. Lily Evans was her #1. Them and Remus would just sit and talk, or read, or study for hours on end and have the best time ever. Most nights Lola would climb into Lily's bed and they would just gossip, when the deep convos ran out, and look up at the four poster bed. Mary Macdonald was 'that girl'. The biggest girls' girl you could ever find- she would literally light up every room. Hanging out with her was always so fun, even when doing something as 'dull' as looking at magazines. She really was the glue of the valkyries- and helped organise every girls trip to Hogsmeade or birthday party. Marlene McKinnon, or Marls, was the coolest person Lola had ever met - including Sirius Black. Being a beater on the quidditch team was enough, but the way she dressed and the effortless way she did everything solidified it. Marlene McKinnon was the first to say when something was unfair and you knew when she was advocating for something it would happen.

the boys: james, peter, sirius and remus 𖤓✩☽𖦹

James Potter, Peter Pettigrew and Sirius Black were Remus Lupins dorm mates- and best friends. James Potter , was possibly the sun of everyone's lives. The most selfless person Lola knew, but still somehow goofy and a jock at the same time. James Potter loved a lot of things, but charms, his mum, his mum's signature curry and Regulus Black were at the top. James' brother in all ways but blood was Sirius Black. The second coolest person Lola knew. His ability to simultaneously care desperately about what everyone thought of him whilst also not giving two shits was deeply hilarious to Lola- but overall thought her brother had good taste, and approved. Sirius was the smartest person Lola knew who didn't have to work for it at all- preferring to frolic around the grounds as a dog- or annoy Remus, Lily and Lola whilst they worked. Peter Pettigrew (pete), was the funniest person Lola knew, and secretly her favourite of Remus' best mates. Peter was the one to give James and Sirius stomach pains from laughing at the back of transfiguration, and Lola often thought it was a shame for him that he didn't get to experience hearing himself tell a story- as she never laughs harder. Peter also was brilliant at Art- managing to convince Hogwarts to add the extra curricular to the spec to achieve his childhood dream of creating cartoons for the daily prophet.

my hogwarts base music class [part 2] 𖦹°‧★

benjy fenwick

a rare wizarding drummer and therefore snagged by every band in every music class (me, sirius, marlene, caradoc and him in our class). This also means he gets a good practical grade due to having lots of material to choose from to show the examiner.

charity burbage

the only woodwind player in the class- and she loves playing muggle romantic period pieces and runs a Hogwarts orchestra!! Very good at theory as the clarinet needs lots of theory to understand it and play it well.

charlotte lupin

I am a singer in the class and sing in a band which we all perform in front of the examiner in and get graded on! My voice suits rock to indie pop but nothing quicker or heavier (Like metal for example). I would say I'm best at the composition as I write lyrics too!<3

Joan Neraida

Our teacher Professor neraida is very young and from the USA! She plays the oboe and guitar and every lesson is so exciting and calm with her<3 Genuinely sweetest person ever and has managed to tame Sirius whilst he is in the class.

sirius black

Sirius Black plays the electric guitar as his instrument for compositions and for practicals. He can also play the piano but chooses not to. Our teacher Joan is his favourite teacher and she is really good at calming him down in the class.

marlene mckinnon

marlene mckinnon is the second electric guitar player in my class and she especially loves learning about the muggle music she was never allowed to listen to at home!!

emmeline vance

SAD COMPOSITION QUEEN. Her piano ballads have us all sobbing and you can tell she writes her melodies with so much emotion and uses it as an outlet!! Also classically trained since a very young age so possibly the "best" musician traditionally in the class.

caradoc dearborn

caradoc dearborn is incredible at music history, he just has a flare for history and is amazing at remembering things for the written part of the OWL. This makes up for his practical grades as playing bass guitar means its hard to get amazing grades on the practical or composition.

Hestia jones

hestia jones has an amazing old dreamy voice which goes perfectly with Emmeline's keyboard for any practical duets- she also has an entertainment contract at the three broomsticks where she sings three times a week and could 1000% do it professionally but she wants to be an auror 😕

✩ Ancient Runes

a language used by medieval wizarding societies, ancient runes goes along perfectly with history of magic- and opens up more jobs in that field. The top three students in the year for ancient runes are: dorcas meadowes, lily evans, emmeline vance

Ancient Runes is taught by Professor Senectus, who is very old, wise and calm. He tries to make Ancient Runes more understandable yet forgets sometimes that his subject is not the only one and sets far too much homework - which means people tend to get good grades under his teaching.

✩ Divination

the study of the future, personally one of my favourite subjects at hogwarts yet having lots of speculation over it's authenticity. Easy to get a good grade in as long as you understand your medium and interpret a coherent response. Also my class is all girls so say shat you will but I love it. The top 3 in the year at divination are: Lola Lupin, Dorcas Meadowes, Mary Macdonald.

Divination is taught by Professor Therma, who does not claim to be a seer- however is very passionate about the future and whimsical and helps people try their best. She however is getting less people every year to take it as an elective and when she retires I'm pretty sure Dumbledore will drop the subject from the curriculum.

✩Music

a study of muggle music and wizarding music- looking at different time periods and music theory for the written exam and then doing a practical composition and piece as coursework. In my small class we have 2 singers, 2 electric guitarists , 1 bass guitarist, a pianist, a drummer and a clarinet player. The top 3 in my year are: Sirius Black, Emmeline Vance and Marlene Mckinnon.

Music is taught by Professor Neraida who we are allowed to call Joan in the classroom. She is a wonderful teacher and feels like a mum to a lot of us- having such a small and intimate class. She is Sirius' favourite teacher and goes to her like someone would go to a mother. (totally not inspired by Mrs Buchanon in tcoptp!!)

✩ Wizard Politics

tackles current wizarding political issues such as how the minister of magic is elected, the wizengamot, the ministry of magic and then international politics like the international confederation of wizards. NEWTs goes further into muggle politics. Top 3 students in the year: Dorcas Meadowes, Amelia Bones, Remus Lupin.

Wizarding Politics is taught by Professor Fawley who is strict but informative and also is fun if you follow his rule. He is the kind of person to let you argue your way into not doing a piece of homework or take into consideration what everyone wants to do each lesson. Think Harold from a little life.

Basic Info:

My name is Hope Jane Lupin (or frequently called Trouble). I'm Jane Bott's and Remus Lupin's daughter and I am in my 5th year at Hogwarts. I was sorted into Gryffindor.

Family:

My mum likes to show me pictures when I was younger and she likes to show me pictures of her and the Marauders. My dad and I love books so we like to exchange reviews with each other and I like to steal his muggle rock band t-shirts.

Friends:

Fred Weasley: Him and I are best friends. I have a crush on him. I usually help him and George with pranks (I'm the mastermind you could say). Sometimes during his and George's Quidditch practices, I sit and read in the stands.

George Weasley: He likes to tease me about my crush on Fred but he has a crush on Angelina so he can't say much. He sometimes wants me to boast to Angelina about how great he is. Do I listen to him? No.

Aurora Black: She's Marlene McKinnon's and Sirius Black's daughter so when Marlene is killed by Voldemort and Sirius is sent to Azkaban, she comes to live with me and my dad. We grew up together so we have a sister-like bond. We like to listen to Queen and Nirvana together and she sometimes helps to pull me back together when I'm stressing about school.

I share a dorm with Angelina Johnson and Alicia Spinnet. I'm also close friends with Katie Bell and we all hang out with each other frequently.

Lee Jordan and I are Quidditch commentators together and we sometimes banter during matches.

Oliver Wood is like my big brother and he sometimes uses me as a messenger to talk to the twins (it can be a bit annoying).

I'm like a big sister to Harry Potter. I often help him with his homework and he comes to me for advice.

Enemies:

Lorenzo Berkshire: He's often the target of our pranks as he's sort of the leader of the 5th year Slytherins.

Draco Malfoy: He hates Harry and Aurora so naturally he hates me and I hate him.

Pets:

I have an owl called John. I named him that because my mum's animagus is an owl so he's like the male version of my mum (except he's not an animagus).

School food is multi-cultural in my DR because I am not eating plain chicken every day.

Common Rooms / Dorms:

We're allowed to go to other common rooms if we want to (we just have to know the passwords). We can also throw parties if we want.

Extras:

Wand: Chestnut wood, unicorn hair core, 10-12 inches and flexible

Patronus: Jack Russell Terrier

Belongings: I have a watch with me in my DR that tells me the time in my CR, I have a Polaroid camera with unlimited film and I have a Sony Walkman.

I'm shifting to the events of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

✩ wolfstar

remus lupin (my brother<3) and sirius black get together in the middle of 5th year - so they won't be together when I shift at first but EVERYONE knows they like each other apart from them and james 😭😭😭 Oblivious Kings. But nobody in my dorm nor peter is gonna do anything, we are just gonna let it play out. They are just perfect for each other and I couldn't not script this as they are soulmates (in my opinion!! obviously if you are shifting for sirius or remus as an s/o I am NOT judging at all)

✩ dorlene

marlene mckinnon (one of my best friends) and dorcas meadowes hated each other for most of their time at hogwarts, but then they were like actually... let's date!! Both were on the quidditch team, and for years me, lily and mary had to endure marlene talking shit about dorcas until one day.. she didn't? Though, I love this ship with all of my heart- and dorcas soon becomes one of my closest friends and hangs out in the gryffindor dorm all the time.

✩ jegulus

This one was definitely later than all the others, just because james potter did NOT want to tell sirius black he was dating regulus black. James fawning and being so protective over regulus is the cutest thing ever, but seeing sirius fuming was SO funny. It also linked our friend group with Regulus' really well as Dorcas and Regulus were dating people in the group, so naturally we hung out.

✩ rosekiller

nobody knows when barty crouch jr and evan rosier are dating and when they aren't- I don't even know if they are sure.

I will sum up their relationship with two latin poems from my gcse latin literature course.

cores {subjects everyone has to take}

✩ transfiguration

commonly known as one of the hardest ordinary wizarding levels, transfiguration is a subject where the mage changes the form or appearance of an object, animal or person. In my year at Hogwarts, the top three (3) students in the year for transfiguration are: James Potter, Amelia Bones and Remus Lupin.

Transfiguration is taught by Professor McGonagall. Professor McGonagall is the strictest but kindest professor in the school. She is definitely the kind to play favourites, but being head of Gryffindor means she likes me and my friend group- plus we all genuinely enjoy her subject (even James & Sirius don't mess around).

✩charms

charms is the most popular subject in the school, with around 70% of students carrying it on past OWLs to NEWTs. Even though it is known for being easier than transfiguration, it is still one of the most tricky and well respected subjects Hogwarts offer, and most careers require at least an 'acceptable' at OWL level. The top three (3) students in the year for charms are: Remus Lupin, Lily Evans and Lola Lupin.

Charms is taught by Professor Flitwick. Personally, professor Flitwick is my favourite Hogwarts Professor, as a head of house he is always available for talking outside of charms about any problems and is genuinely my favourite to stop and chat with in the corridor. In lessons, people tend to not listen to him as he is quite lenient and doesn't lose his temper frequently.

✩potions

potions is another very well respected subject, and is one usually people love or hate. At its core personally I don't find it too difficult as long as you make sure to follow all the instructions exactly though I don't have a natural flare for the subject or instinct to add extra ingredients. The top three (3) students in the year for potions are: Severus Snape, Lily Evans and Dorcas Meadowes.

Potions is taught by professor Slughorn, a teacher only interested in the "greats" of the class and ignores everyone else. Personally I do not like him, I think he's self centered and an average teacher but I do see why some like him. He loves Lily and Dorcas for their natural inclination but loves Sirius and James due to only their families, like??

✩history of magic

in my opinion, this is the most misunderstood subject in hogwarts!! It is the most interest subject EVER with the most boring lessons. Me and Remus both love this subject as our mum used to read us books on Goblin rebellions and past Wizarding Wars and so had a love for it before the lessons could change our minds. The top three (3) students in the year for History of Magic are: Caradoc Dearborn, Lola Lupin and Remus Lupin (one of the only subjects where I beat my brother LMAO)

History of Magic is taught by professor Binns, who is the reason so many people hate the subject. LITERALLY HOW CAN THIS MAN MAKE EPIC BATTLES SO DULL?? Like pls someone replace him IMMEDIATELY. Everyone talks through his lessons and he doesn't know anyone's name 😭😭😭

✩defence against the dark arts

a subject all the younger years want to get properly into, but for me personally it is wayy too hyped. Like not many careers need it and it's very theory based for the actual exam. Personally I think they should add some coursework (maybe creating a defensive spell??) The top three (3) students in my year for DADA are: Remus Lupin, Dorcas Meadowes and tied 3rd - Sirius Black and Hestia Jones.

the teacher for this I KID YOU NOT changes every single year. Right now it is Professor Donaldson (most NPC ahh professor), but we have had a couple of really good ones and I'm pretty sure Flitwick takes the 7th year class.

✩astronomy

this is a staple at Hogwarts, and a subject they have always taught (for good reason), but I think everyone learns it differently so there are many different opinions about it. Personally, love doesn't encompass how I feel about astronomy. It is my all time favourite subject, favourite classroom and ughh I just love waking up at midnight to go up and check the planets. The top three (3) students in my year are: Lola Lupin, aurora sinestra, and remus lupin (finally top of the year in something) .

Astronomy is taught by the lovely professor Lepaute, who is an old french woman and has a very kind and quiet teaching style. In our lessons she lets us get on with it and works her way round the classroom, helping individual students one to one. She is also the person to be genuinely so in love with passing her love of her subject onto us. She taught at Beauxbatons for most of her life and came to the Scotland for a more peaceful life (not sure if she found it here 😓)

✩herbology

Many I know are unsure why it is compulsory, yet enjoy it. A very useful subject for very hands on jobs such as Healers. Personally I enjoy it yet don't put much effort into it- but everyone I know that enjoys Herbology is a really sweet person so maybe that says something? The top 3 in my year at Herbology are: Peter Pettigrew, Benjy Fenwick and Lily Evans.

Professor Sprout, who teaches herbology, is really funny and makes the lessons nice- also decorates the greenhouses. I also have never seen her play favourites - and seems to like everyone but also controls my class pretty well. She's head of Hufflepuff so exactly how you imagine.

𝓜ANGO 𝓑ARDOT looks like she knows something that you don’t: which probably is true because she can see the future. she was always seen in her hometown as the ‘weird’ one . . . . not in a negative sense, but she had just certain tastes who were quite uncommon. her trinkets mean everything to her !! weird looking laps, dolls, mugs, pillows, rings, snow globes, clocks. everything in her room seems to have a piece of her soul (in a good way…) and she also reads a LOT of books, muggle and magical. from classics (her personal favourites are frankenstein and the arthurian legends). she also writes a lot in her journals. she is now fourteen, and since she started writing something in her journals everyday, she has now over 20 journals. she always carries her current one in her bag.

My introduction!!

Hi everyone! I'm luxange and I recently joined shiftblr. I've been in the shifting community since 2021, the year I found shifttok. For months I hyperfixated on shifting, using shifttok as my only source of information. In those few months my motivation slowly dwindled as I realised I was still not shifting. I started doubting it until my belief in shifting disappeared altogether.

I forgot all about shifting until December 2024, when a shifting tiktok popped up on my fyp. That was when I realised that there was still some belief for it inside me, so I immediately got back into the shifting community. But I didn't want it to turn out like last time which is why I decided to download tumblr and do some proper research. My motivation and belief has increased immensely ever since I joined shiftblr, where there's nowhere near as much misinformation as tiktok.

So here I am now, deciding to start posting (idk how much I'll post so we'll see). I'm so glad I got back into shifting, I'm genuinely so grateful for this community too.

Anyways I realised I haven't said much about myself. I'm 16 years old, my favourite animal is cows and my fav colour is green (don't ask why my page is purple I have no clue). I love reading (books, manga, manhwa), crocheting, watching anime and gaming. I'm in lots of fandoms but my main ones are Pokémon, Zelda, spy x family, yona of the dawn, F1 and animal crossing. I also have loads of drs but my main ones are my better cr, Pokémon, F1, dragon academy, waiting rooms (I love waiting rooms), my own fantasy dr and a travelling circus dr. I wanna make another post just about my drs so I can talk more about them.

I keep feeling guilty for scripting out some Canon things for my s/o in my desired reality. How do I get over this guilt? I try so hard, but I can't help but feel like a total ass. But on the other hand I want what I want. Idk it's complicated. Any advice?
