on her first day at foxhunt, wren meets a group of glamorous outcasts nicknamed the foxes who, like her, all have a gift bestowed to them by god called the sight. she is then invited to join their ranks despite their leader, matthew lu, being out for her blood since the moment he laid eyes on her. however, wren and matt eventually learn they have another thing in commonâbeing a taste for vengeance that can only end in one way.

wren abernathy (protagonist); new student at foxhunt academy who joins the foxes because she has the sight despite mattâs disapproval. she is upfront, confrontational, and isnât afraid to say whatâs on her mind. her big mouth and inability to mind her own business tends to get her in trouble with others. raised by her uncle, she runs away from her home and forges all the paperwork to study at foxhunt academy, which she won a full ride scholarship to attend after writing an essay for a contest.
izumi hashimoto (love interest); a wealthy japanese heiress who is also kenjiâs prearranged fiancee. she will do anything to achieve her goals, even if that means bringing bodily harm to others. she only cares about one thing, being inheriting her stepfatherâs company. everything else is just background noise to her; including kenji, who she does not want to marry but must in order to inherit her stepfatherâs company.
kenji tanaka; a wealthy japanese heir who is engaged to izumi in order to obtain his inheritance. kenji is rather carefree and a go with the flow kind of guy. he is mostly known for his flirtatious attitude towards anyone and everyone he doesnât outwardly hate, even if he isnât attracted to them; he just finds flirting to be fun. kenji is also a man with secrets and past that he is not so much ashamed of, but more so proud that heâs overcome.
matthew lu; son of the headmaster of foxhunt academy. matt is rather stuck up, arrogant, and full of himself. he doesnât like change or anything new, which leaves him at odds with and disapproving of wren. matt was the first person blessed with the sight; he was handpicked by god and given it to kill the son of satan, and is the only one who knows how to find him. he is well aware of his destiny, and will do anything to see it come to fruition.
izzy hirsi; matthewâs girlfriend. she is kind, gentle, and very accepting and welcoming of change, including people outside those of matthewâs approval. she is known as the mother of foxhunt, someone anyone can go to with their secrets, and she will never turn anyone away. she often finds herself at odds with her boyfriend, who she is said to be the opposite of, but she tends to win most of their disagreements.
