One of my favorite things about Jane Austen is that she knew the real fear wasn’t running into some terrifying Frenchman or finding your lover’s wife in the attic…it was having to spend time with someone who is slighter cooler than you are, or playing piano in front of a critical audience, or thinking a picnic will be the perfect time for your jokes but then it isn’t
HOLY SHIT, IT WAS THE ORIGINAL ONE

"I went away in my head, into a book. That was where I went whenever real life was too hard or too inflexible."
I don’t think people understand how much i admire the simple things in life; the smell of rain, old books, new books, flowers, the sky, newly brewed coffee, your favorite t shirt, freshly picked roses and daisys, and the sea. the taste of fresh strawberries, cherry pie, cinnamon buns, and baked bread right out of the oven. the sweet sensation of going out after a long time, reading a book in a cosy sweater, warming up your coffee, sleeping soundly while it snows out, watching the rain pour on the streets and the trees, watching your favorite movie again, lighting up your favorite candle, and hanging out with long lost friends. These little things just bring peace to your soul.
“ With Freedom, Books and Flowers and the Moon who could not be happy?”
hugs are so underrated
i woke up tired like 8 years ago and i still haven’t recovered.
What’s your fav book??
stargazing, the smell of damp earth after it rains, misty mornings near the sea, earl grey tea, lavender, the smell of old boks, rough charcoal sketches, intricate braids, long conversations at midnight, quiet afternoons picnics, open windows, snow globes, watching the milk swirl in your coffee, getting up early to see the sunrise, the patter of the rain on a rooftop as you drift away into a peaceful sleep.
When was the last time someone ran their fingers through the knots of your soul?
