An, in her kitsune form, was stuck in a trap set up by a monster hunter - she was in a lot of pain, making it hard for her to hide her second tail, and she couldn’t move properly due to the both the pain and the trap
Open rp ^-^
< The sound of footsteps approached her, breaking into a run. Someone murmured under their breath. It sounded familiar.
Shit... shit, I need to get them out...
< Mei quickly crouched, examining the trap first to make sure she knew how to free the kitsune.
She was scared - she didn’t want to die there
< The trap freed An with a click and Mei held onto her while she pulled out her first aid kit and looked over her wounds.
The kitsune moved to curl into a ball to protect herself, terrified
Hey, hey. You'll be alright.
< Mei released her grip on the kitsune slightly, giving her some careful pets while checking her wounds again. She pulled out saline, antiseptic and bandages, beginning to treat the wounds (which stung).
The kitsune flinched at the antiseptic
It's just antiseptic, don't worry.
< She spoke like she knew the kitsune could understand her while she bandaged with gauze and a roll.
While she could understand what Mei was saying, it was extremely muffled because of just how much pain she was in
< Mei bound the wound carefully with the bandage roll once the gauze was applied, then dug to see if she had some painkillers that were kitsune-safe. Probably didn't.
Hopefully she did - she was in a lot of pain…
Hmmm... I don't think I know what kitsunes can take, but I've studied foxes so I'll say my hopes that a kitsune's body works like a fox's...
< She decides to give the kitsune whatever she thinks might be safe and watch anxiously.
It did - mostly…
It did dull the pain, yes, but she was still in a lot of pain
Looks like kitsune bodies are more tolerant to medication…
...I think I can give a bit higher dose, then.
< Mei gives another quarter of a dose.
Hope that's not toxic...
She seemed a lot more comfortable now - she was still in a bit of pain, yes, but it was a lot more tolerable
< She sighed in relief, petting the kitsune gently.
Do you need somewhere to stay for a bit?
The kitsune moved closer to Mei - she did
Ah.. I'm assuming that's a yes... My place isn't far from here, but I'll be parkouring to get there quick before any hunter finds us. You alright with that?
She didn’t seem to mind - as long as she wasn’t alone
< Mei nodded, mostly to herself, before scooping the kitsune up and climbing onto the rooftops.
)) timeskip! ((
< She pulled the door to her apartment open, slipping into the dark space quietly as to not wake up the downstairs or upstairs neighbours and setting the kitsune down.
Hold on just a sec, I'm gonna go grab some stuff.
< She disappeared into a side room for a few minutes. Guess the kitsune would better find the light switch and look around this area.
All she really wanted to do, though, was rest
< The floors weren't warmed, presumably to save on electricity bills, and they wouldn't be comfortable to sleep on. There was a (barely visible due to how dARK IT IS IN HERE OH MY GOD) couch nearby, though.
The kitsune found a nearby light switch and turned it on with her snout, filling the room in a soft glow
Much better
< A regular living room, albeit quite small; a sofa, a coffee table, a TV and things. Mei does seem to have a tiny apartment... Maybe she lives alone... at this age, though? She looks like she's not out of highschool yet.
The kitsune decided to just rest until Mei got back
< Mei came back a few seconds later, glancing around in confusion at the light having been turned on, and dumped a bunch of clothing she obviously didn't wear at all on the sofa. She arranged the pile carefully like a nest, forming a dip in the middle.
She looked up at Mei and watched dump the clothes on the couch
Okay!
< She finished rearranging the pile.
Can you lay in this and... uh... get up again if it's not comfortable? I can put cushions in too.
She tried to jump down from the counter and move over to the couch
As you can probably guess - not the best idea
< Mei realised this a moment after they jumped, swiftly reaching out and grabbing the kitsune midair. She gently sat the kitsune in the clothes nest.
She quickly nestled herself into the clothes nest, trying to get comfy
Hehe.
< She giggled at that.
I'm going to make myself dinner. If you need to eat, I don't mind making something for you later on, but for now you need rest.
She seemed to understand in her tired state
< Mei nodded to herself and left the room, murmuring something.

Hold on just a sec, I'm gonna go grab some stuff.
< She disappeared into a side room for a few minutes. Guess the kitsune would better find the light switch and look around this area.
An, in her kitsune form, was stuck in a trap set up by a monster hunter - she was in a lot of pain, making it hard for her to hide her second tail, and she couldn’t move properly due to the both the pain and the trap
