Coffee Run (Melissa + Leighton)
Now that it was almost getting into the warmer days of the year, Leighton often liked having the occasional iced version of her order although if it was really cold during the Christmas time, she would invest in the Gingerbread latte to perk up her seasonal spirit. Looking to the lemon treat stood in front of her, she could almost lick her lips, over filming, she hadn’t been dieting but had been watching what she had been eating although it didn’t matter a much now.Â
Chopping the cake into half to make it manageable for herself, she took tiny bites from the muffin whilst having a sip or two of her coffee. Already you could tell that it was hitting to lunch time as the place became much more busy then it’s usual standard, if it was later in the day. Hearing someone speak, Leighton looked up to give a warm smile to the person stood before her, “Of course not!” Sliding her bag to the floor from the seat, she didn’t need to reserve a seat and the woman seemed incredibly nice and polite.Â
Covering her mouth slightly as she finished her mouthful, thinking for a moment as she did so, “Hmm..” Finishing her part, “I’m not sure, though I’d feel rude not introducing myself even if it is a second time.” She laughed a little, “Either way, I’m Leighton.” Offering her hand to the friendly face.
Melissa smiled and extended her hand, shaking the other woman's, "No, I think I would have remembered meeting a Leighton," she smiled. "I'm Melissa, though, it's a pleasure to meet you!" Melissa said, a grin pulling at her lips. "You might just have one of those faces that looks familiar," she said, shrugging softly.Â
She took a couple seconds to unwrap her sandwich and looked back over at Leighton, "Have you had a chance to see the cherry blossoms yet? They are remarkable, and actually remind me a lot of home," she chuckled. "Though, Ippswitch is a lot smaller than Vancouver, our cherry trees are dotted along the side streets, not surrounded by all these sky scrapers," she shrugged.Â
