seen lifters on here saying if you order something from ûrbàn òutfittérs and claim you never received it you can get your money back ?

anyone know the legitimacy of this / slash has tried it ? and should i get a visa gift card to do it ? rly wanna snag some beach bunny roller skates but they’re rly expensive.

be careful when you’re habitually lifting that you don’t go to the same stores regularly. try to take breaks in between visits so they don’t recognize you immediately/ at all , or use wigs + varying style choices

i know a lot of lifters love to pride themselves in sticking it to the man and i am in ONE HUNDRED percent support of this because ..

however ! if you consider yourself morally superior because you lift and are therefore saying’ fuck capitalism ‘ you also need to think about where you do spend your money.

lifting gives us all an amazing opportunity to save a shit ton of money but let’s make sure we don’t use that money to feed the corporations we’re stealing from. use your money to go to smaller , local restaurants or grow your own food.

i know it’s hard to part with money , especially when you work so hard to avoid spending it , but use your money as an investment and a reward to the person you’re giving it to , to tell them you DO condone their ethical compass.

okay so ofc even tho I lift hella shit, I still learn day by day new tips and tricks from other lifters. I read a post where this girl uses a waist trainer to tuck a shirt in it so that it’ll make her look flat. Plus when she walks out, she looks normal. This works on oversized loose fitting shirts, of course. I decided to do that when I went to Mây-C’s and it actually worked !! I lifted a Tömmee Hilfïgar jacket in the waist trainer & you can’t tell but I’m wearing two pairs of jeans, one under the ones I came into the store with. so actual life hack, use a waist trainer and wear an oversized shirt. This helped a lot because this Mây-C’s had the same undercover LP that followed me a long time ago, there again that same day I did this. I was too scared to put it in my bag and walk out so I tucked instead and I was fine !! I recommend doing this if you’re still new to lifting or you’re just really cautious about getting caught with things in your bag. Trust your gut, don’t just do it because you want it really bad and didn’t think about that employee staring at you a lot. DO IT WHEN YOU ACTUALLY FEEL GOOD AND LIKE NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO YOU!! REMEMBER SECURITY CAN ONLY SEARCH YOU IF THEY HAVE PROBABLE CAUSE. be safe loves xoxo BBL <3

If I hadn’t gone through self check, I would have beeped and been fucked. I ASSUME other retailers (w@lmrt, etc.) are doing something similar with their in-house brands so stay safe babes ✌🏼

the most fundamental lifting advice has always been that barcodes don’t set off alarms.

but this isn’t a normal barcode , it’s on the inside of the outer packaging. this isn’t the same barcode that’s flat and made within the packaging that we often say don’t set off alarms ( they don’t ).

this isnt necessarily new at all. rfids are always hidden in products , whether they’re sewn in or stuck to a random page in a book or on the inside of the cardboard packaging ! always check over what it is you’re lifting before you take it.

At my mall, we have trees with felt ornaments with both needs and wants of local children who are in need. And something drew me to it today and I grabbed an ornament from a 13 year old girl who’s only requests were a sports bra and hygiene items as needs, and art supplies as a want. Something hit me in the heart and i knew I had to spoil this girl

this is crazy ! my local one has at least 20 domes, several lp and the most rigorous tagging and fitting room attendance i’ve ever seen. i’ve lifted there a few times but for smaller things , like lingerie.

i personally consider my chain high risk despite this , due to all of their measures. even if it is a deterrent , better safe than sorry , alwaaaays.

always follow your gut about a specific store even if you read something about it being easier online, ( not to suggest that this information is invalid 💕)

got caught at lush.

so my lush is super small, no cameras, but two employees at all times, one as the cashier and one as the person who greets people and welcomes them in and shows them stuff etc, etc. so the person was showing me a bunch of stuff, i was pretending to be interested (i was the only one in the store) when some people walked in, and i thought “now’s my chance, while she’s distracted!” so i went over to the soap i wanted and took it, and slowly placed it into my bag. i looked behind me afterwards, and to my dismay, the CASHIER was staring directly at me, looking angry. she didn’t say anything, but i slowly reached into my bag and put it back and got the fuck outta there. i now realize the two mistakes i made. 1: never lift from a small lush unless it’s SUPER crowded. 2: be VERY quick to conceal. if you’re questioning if you should take something or not, just don’t. you should be fully decided when you conceal.

hope this story helps people. be super careful at lush, or just don’t lift from there at all! don’t feel like you need to lift from there bc of all the lush hauls on here.
