Hi all! I'm putting out a little feeler post before the fact, but within the next few days I'll be opening a commission slot or two for icons. I'll be keeping these up throughout the end of the college term, and hopefully expanding what I can offer over the summer!

anyways ........... go my first official playback fanart. ive had this one planned for a while now but the composition and everything about it except for the pause symbol in the background changed.
been too busy with the art i have to do for my pseudo-job (and college classes) to really draw much at the moment but...... oh man if im not thinking about her every day.
so! a little sketch, in the lapse of posting literally anything else.

i feel like ffxiv does a lot of things well, especially if you look at, i dont know, shadowbringers? however i feel theres always been a bit of a.... shallower look emotional aspect of the game. i get it, it's hard for them to provide every player with the experience they want, but. with all that the WoL has seen, wouldn't it be disheartening? or not even that, just..... we've seen so much fall in the source alone. in the end of shadowbringers, we were almost consumed by the light that we had always stood by. that we were willingly taking in just to save a world that was never ours.
they're really casual about a lot of stuff - 'they' as in the game in general. i think itd be nice to see a bit more of a dive into the emotional aspects..... but i feel that players who dont really care about the story would raise hell in a heartbeat?
they should be allowed to cry. i don't think it would heal them but it might help a bit. and also maybe people should stop taking it for granted that they will say yes to everything, like doing fetch quests in alexandria. cmon.
also why yes that IS azems symbol theyre standing on. howd you tell. surely not because it is bright orange.
this opens about five other tangents i have and this is NOT a ffxiv centric blog. yet. i cant promise the future.
also i don't remember which order the shards are in. one is obviously the one lost by light, the thirteenth by darkness, and wherever alexandria was is the lightning-afflicted world. there's surely an ice one somewhere.......... but i made all those up. itll get fixed once i can find that cutscene where they show them all in a row. smiles. i love you all.
