yknow something i love about games on roblox is when they feel very vulnerable.
It’s a very loose and broad term. Generally, I mean games that really try to be original, but more specifically games that take risks. It’s very easy to make money on here by copying some pre-popular game on Steam or something. Not just because it doesn’t requite creativity or exploration of something new, but because people love that game. So, they’ll probablyrelatively love the copy.
But more specifically, when I mean “vulnerable”, I mean games that take courage to showcase to people. Think of projects that aren’t made out of money or even pride for their work, but a sense of shyness.
It’s super easy for some delinquents online to go “bro ts corny as hell 😭✌️” when he sees a game with some cool artstyle and worldbuilding behind it and basically make fun of a game for trying to achieve some stylized feeling, and it just applies to all art in general.
I’ve seen many games on roblox that feels like they were made in spite of this. I’ve seen games that are very themselves, very personal. Not just in deep sentiment, but in a way of how making them was a risk to the developer. Not in terms of money or resources, but made in spite of the risk of being hated or made fun of.
It’s probably very unusual to view games this way, especially cuz I dunno the author, but it’s always an interesting way to analyze things. Looking at them and thinking “did the devs ever get too attached to this story/character and hesitate to publish this update/entire game?”
I mean, even if you’re literally developing a game that is going to be published to the Internet, the concept is still really terrifying, especially in an age where people hide sincerity and infatuation under layers of satire and passiveness..

I have the black box data. All of it.
After sifting through hundreds of photos... I have realized that every time Simon takes a photo in the SM-13, he's pulling up a frame to a stop motion animation.
And it can be played back as video.
So, I took each black box photo and compiled them together. You can now watch Simon's entire journey from the SM-13's camera like found footage.
You can also gain access to Simon's amazing photography portfolio from my master reference project, as well as the video for yourself.
Please, have a watch. It's terrifying. I feel like a C.O.I. lab tech delving into something I really shouldn't, and it's a blast!
