When did his nose become more like Emilie's? When did his stance so naturally resemble Nathalie's own? He held so many familiar pieces to her, and yet, she saw a new person standing before her.

Lady Luck licked her thumb and then pressed it over his cheek, wiping off a stripe of grime that had splattered across it.

Adrien shot her a deadpan look. “Seriously?”

“Old habits flare up when I’m scared,” she murmured softly.

Liladrien Headcanon:

Chrysalis uses any excuse to attempt to akumatize Adrien so she can ask him out.

Chrysalis, laying on her side floating in the akuma mind space with rose petals fluttering in from above: "Metal Maniac... I see the universe has ruthlessly struck you down once again. Oh, how my heart bleeds for your suffering."

Adrien: "I stubbed my toe."

Chrysalis: "Let me grant you flesh of impenetrable steel! No furniture will ever harm you again! All I ask in return are the Miraculous... and maybe we grab dinner after? Just to see where the night takes us~"

Adrien: "...Lila, please. Just break into my room like a normal person."

Careless Whisper plays in the background the whole time with Chrysalis' avatar going ham on the saxophone.

I LOVE THIS!! Lila absolutely doesn't take No for an answer, but the more he rejects her, the more she wants him. I do wonder if she starts to remember all the little details he offhandedly mentions unlike Marinette. She stresses that someone keeps sending Adrien gifts even though he's in a relationship, but Adrien is happy because it's passion fruit candy.

Maybe Lila's plans are much more complex than just that. Adrien and Marinette are on a simple coffee date when akuma alarm goes out, Mari runs off leaving him all alone and what little sadness he has is enough for Chrysalis.

"~My, my.~ How cruel it is to run away from a date meant for two. Seeing how a spot is free, mind if I join?"

"I might have considered it if it wasn't you who is the reason for it."

"I do wonder, why is it that your girlfriend always runs off when there's an akuma?"

"I don't know, why don't you come out and ask her yourself?"

"Oh, you wanna see me already? You're making a girl blush! I'd love to spend some one on one time with you, but then your girl wants to steal my miraculous, could you believe that?"

"If this is about her being Ladybug then please spare me."

Then Heartfixer happens with "Marinette" and "Nino" kissing, but Adrien sees right through it all.

"Really? You expect me to believe this, Chrysalis?" he asks towards no one in particular, but then he's spooked when she actually jumps from around a corner.

"Come on! It was perfect! How are you not angry?!"

"Marinette is not nearly as calm as you expect her to be. If anything, she'd be a panicking mess. For fucks sake, she blushes as a strawberry whenever I kiss her in public and you think she would maintain her cool through a literal make out session? Who even is this, two dudes?"

"....no?"

I like the idea that Adrien just becomes Chrysalis' personal armchair critic. He just learned the phrase 'psychological warfare' today and thinks it's much more proactive in stopping Chrysalis.

"Okay, Lila, real quick; what the hell was Sublimation?"

"Good morning to you too, Beautiful. What's there to understand? She empowers people into their best self. Simple."

"But... why?"

"Because she's a competitive mom that-"

"No, I mean, why would you want an akuma whose only use is making their opponent better? What's the threat? 'Oh no, Ladybug, we better hand over our miraculous, otherwise the akuma will make Bob Roth nice!'."

"I was experimenting."

"Oh, I'm sure you were experimenting with something when you cooked up an akuma that's two giants who don't do anything but walk a few inches away from each other. What was even the pitch for that one?"

"Okay, first of all-"

"Also, Climaqueen? Daddycop? Yokaigozen? I know you stole the butterfly, but that didn't mean you had to steal Hawkmoth's rouges gallery too."

"Well, even that dullard Hawkmoth had a good idea every now and then."

"I'm just saying, I'm starting to think Hawkmoth did a better job of terrorizing Paris."

"You bitch."

"What's next? You're gonna akumatize Chloe?"

"...You really know how to push my buttons, Adrien. You're enjoying yourself, aren't you?"

"A little."

"Mhm, I think I'm into that."

And then she pays him back by interrupting his day to give patronizing reminders and baby him, making sure he remembers to brush his hair, or read off his schedule, makes distracting gestures behind people's backs whilst Adrien's in the middle of a conversation, or warn him to make sure Nathalie doesn't poison his food because she, personally, wouldn't trust anyone who's willingly worked for Gabriel.

Also, do you think she was seething in Heartbreaker when the chopped trio ended their big scene with an illusion of Adrien leaving Marinette for Sublime? "She's not even main character material! Amateurs!"

You know, writing World on Fire, I'm starting to get the impression that a secret part of me just wants to write a Superhero court drama debating all the ridiculous technicalities superpowers would introduce into law.

You think scammers, frauds and lawyers (but I repeat myself) are bad now, imagine how many loop holes and technicalities can be abused when you introduce mother fuckers who casually warp reality.

Menaces? Really? I thought I was pretty light on her for the most part... You know, aside from the addiction storyline, but that isn't salt! That's just me being an edgy try hard prick.

Hating a character because they're annoying is reasonable as hell, and I'm tired of pretending it's not. Eat as many fictional, orphaned puppies as you want; but actively hurting my audience experience is a crime only answerable by a swift and meme-worthy death or retcon.

Post Miraculous Menaces chapter ‘64’ caused me to have the realisation that Darcy really set the bar as low as possible because when Dutch made that comment about Mayura I admittedly got a little excited and basically went:

“Oh- an actual adult! One adult ‘admiring’ another adult, how legal of them! They’re both so similar in their mental development, you’d think it was written in the law..”

..I feel like that probably says something about the in-universe quality of child-protection…

“Nathalie you need to come and defend your Boss’s honour and glare at some employees!”

Tomoe appraised the girl before her with nothing but pressure. No emotion, not even distain, escaped her glasses, just a force of judgement pushed Ladybug back, kept even the all-powerful hero on the backfoot. Tomoe aimed to be a steel wall, utterly uncompromising without needing to be a direct threat; that is how you managed the politics of the corporate world, and how you kept those armed with bigger weapons than you at bay.

Ladybug, for all her power, was a weaker creature trembling under the surface, barely holding up the strength of the miraculous she did not deserve. For all her power, she was a mere child, unimpressive and nothing compared to a juggernaut like Tomoe, like the Mastermind. She was barely worth Hawkmoth's attention, and that fool was only on Tomoe's radar because he was willing to cut up her employees.

So no, Tomoe did not back down from the hero's attempt at a serious stare. Tomoe was the abyss, and she stared back, she made the brat blink and forced her to shrink.

"I trust you have good reason to break into my office," Tomoe uttered quietly, the subtle rise and fall of her chest the only motion she allowed. "A respectable person of the community should have little time to waste."

Ladybug cleared her throat again, nerves leaking into her voice. "I'd like to talk to you about a woman you sponsored recently; Ivana Srootvit."

I finnaly had time to do it

I used an older animation version as an homage i should've picked a better quality of a photo from an episode from a different animation studio. The hair looks awful now lol you can definitely see I haven't done this in YEARS omg I can't believe how old the show is

I loved doing the scarf/cape thing tho and I redrew her eyes. Also kept the hair from the older desing cuz i loved that silhouette.

Also if you ask why the expretion? Imagine Volpina woke up and chose VIOLANCE that day off camera.

When I have more time, I'll try an S6 LB.

My opinion ain't worth much, but I think it looks great -- at worst, the pig tails and the main hair don't completely blend together, but that's me squinting. Always appreciated.

Oh God, I was still prepping for my GCSE's when the show first aired. I'm probably gonna be hitting a mid-life crisis by the time the show ends at this rate. And we still won't have the identity reveal!

Ladybug's expression looks like she's about to sigh through her nose and hit us with the "Yep, that's my circus and my monkey.". This is her watching footage of Volpina showing Ivana that she's not a rat person. Volpina did choose violence that day.

Just a dumb thought, when you made the kwamis get sick, I thought you would explore what a sick kwami would do to a transformed user.

Mayura gets pregnacy cravings (because the Peacock creates 'life')
