if you're an adult behaving immaturely i'm not going to "treat you like a child" about it because i have a lot of respect for children as an oppressed and vulnerable class of people. i will however treat you like an embarrassment. which you are being.

What if we win?
What if the children go to schools unafraid of tear gas and bullets?
What if the birds come back, and the bees are healed, and every species moves from endangered, to threatened, to thriving?
What if the rainforest ADVANCES?
What if every parking lot had solar panels? What if every structure had solar panels? What if we built climbing gyms and terraced gardens in the skeletons of old coal power plants?
What if you baked your neighbor bread, and they shared their home-grown blackberries?
What if every person who needed a home, had one? What if every person who needed healing was healed?
What if every body was treasured for what it was, not what it should be?
What if every trans child's parents attended their graduation, their wedding, their new-name-day?
What if every warehouse became a closed-circle repair station? Goods flowing out, and back, and out again? What if landfills started to SHRINK?
What if the water and air were clean? What if there was enough public transit that the cars dwindled, leaving the streets safe for kids on bikes, evening deer, midnight cats and foxes?
What if we win?
How would you win?

oh eloise bridgerton... they will never convince me you are selfish. the bridgerton writers may have forgotten, but i still remember that during s1, when LW revealed marina's secret and ruined the bridgerton name, she was the only person who was concerned for marina. the only one who sympathised with marina's plight and was angry at the double standards for men and women.
the real issue is that the writers clearly don't know what to do with her. they want to use her as the feminist mouthpiece, but without any real teeth. for some reason, eloise is the one who must be consistently humbled and forced to see her mother and sister's perspectives. but nobody is being made to understand eloise's perspective- that spending your life sheltered, learning how to do flower arrangements, watching as your male relatives are free to do whatever they want while you are frozen in a state of perpetual inconsequence until eventually you come of age and are finally useful enough to be married off to pop out sons for your husband who legally owns you now, is not aspirational and is in fact pretty terrifying.
Hyacinth being excited to learn and excel at table arrangements was not on my bingo card -- she doesn't feel like that even in the book, much less in the show.
Okay, I've finally finished the hockey show, and I think it's kind of cute that Shane thinks they've taken the next step in their relationship and Ilya took All The Steps At Once and is now locked in for all time. Shane is still like "would you maybe come with me to see my parents?" and "are we saying boyfriend now, is that okay?" Meanwhile, Ilya Rozanov is over here like, I told you about my mother and you saw me cry during sex. Your family is my family. We're dying together. I'll pay for the tomb. There are no more questions.

How Shane looks walking upstairs to have sex with the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen like fuck an actual movie star .
