The Dead Planet
Yayyyyy Daleks! They are so lovable. Fantastic little guys. There aren't particularly terrifying yet, they're a pretty solvable problem, but I can see why people liked them enough to keep them coming back until they reached their nigh-mary sue status.
Plot: 4/10. Fun! But not like. Impressive. Everything about the Thaals was irritating and bad, (except their outfits, which were bad in a fun way) and the cold war metaphors were unimpressive and not particularly coherent.
Effects: 10/10 Daleks!!!!!!! And the Dalek architecture holy shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Characters: 8/10. Same as last time. I like our little crew, they're fun. This rating doesn't account for side characters, just core cast, so I'm adding a new section.
Episodic Characters: 4/10. Daleks are 8/10, the Thaals however are 1/10. Blonde Roman Elves. British Blonde Roman Elves even. Blech.
Other notes: vaguely eugenicist takes abound, but could be much worse.
