thinking about how wolf says during his episode 12 monologue that we all just want to find someone who can tear down our walls so the ground won't fall out from under us.

thinking about how he slowly and methodically let josh in, and held himself open in that moment so josh could feel safe enough to do the same. we see wolf brace himself on the counter, and i think about the trust it took for josh to rely on wolf to be his solid ground. in that moment, wolf trusts himself enough to not just let someone in because they knocked, but to invite them in on purpose.

how deeply it must hurt for them both to have their solid ground pulled out from under them when they finally felt safe enough to admit that they needed someone.

This is a very specific need BUT we know that Wolf heavily associates his ferns with his parents (first his dad and now his mum) and caring for them seems like a way of remembering his dad.

So I kind of want to see Wolf have a breakdown over this, because he was supposed to be remembering his dad and it turns out maybe his dad isn't someone he wants to remember, and throw all of his ferns out and smash the pots and just. destroy them. Destroy them, and all the evidence of how his dad has let him down.
