aerosolized nuclear waste would not be less radioactive than a coal plant! did they mean nuclear wastewater? thats not the same! the scientific american article that i assume the author is referencing and it just says a normally functioning nuclear powerplant is less radioactive than a coal plant. the whole problem with nuclear is when it doesn’t function normally!

i am not anti nuclear, but downplaying the risks is not smart! trump is destroying the independence of the nuclear regulatory commission and they’re letting experimental “advanced nuclear” be built with less safety precautions despite us not having experience with how they are run and no evidence they’re safe enough to get rid of a protective shell! give me a highly regulated old fashioned nuclear plant and build a permanent underground geological repository in massachusetts and i wont stand in front of any bulldozers. i promise! just give the town that hosts it a free waterpark or something.
