Blackhill AU: Maria Hill as Captain America
“May I?” “You may.”
I saw this last month on twitter and took a screenshot! Heres an addition
Blackhill Bingo 2021 - Square C2: Road Trip
If Maria Hill was in Black Widow…
Can you imagine though, if, of all the Avengers/SHIELD people to go find Natasha and help her take down The Red Room, it was Maria? And when Ross’ convoy pulls up to the wreckage at the end, Maria is standing there all by herself because when Natasha refused to leave Maria kissed her and told her she couldn’t let her go to prison and promised to find her later.
And then when she goes to collect the quinjet from Mason, Maria’s riding with her on the back of the motorcycle. Nat makes a comment like, “See, that wasn’t so bad,” and Maria grins but says, “Yeah, but next time I’m driving.”
And then they go and break their people out of prison.
Yes, yes, yes!
And Natasha doesn't die. When Yelena whistles for Nat, it's not by her headstone. It's on some ruggedly beautiful windswept land in the Hebrides with a cozy cottage in the background. Or at Maria and Nat's wedding.
Regardless, Natasha whistles back.
Maria and Yelena get along surprisingly well because they’re both straight forward with a dry wit and although Natasha keeps waiting for Yelena to get on Maria’s nerves with a smartass comment, Maria usually just smirks or chuckles at them. Natasha tries not to be annoyed with the fact that those comments are usually about her. Both Natasha and Maria have stopped being surprised to find Yelena sleeping on their couch or raiding their fridge in the morning. The first time Yelena referred to Maria as her sister, Maria slipped out of the room and Natasha found her in the bathroom crying. She had always wanted a sibling.
Yelena and Maria are definitely cut from the same cloth in so many ways. Of course they really enjoy tag teaming anyone stupid enough to tease or deliberately irritate them. They don't suffer fools kindly and find it extremely entertaining, something some Avengers are still learning.
And The Blackhills realize Yelena needs her own room, for everyone's sake.
(and poor Maria, @skittlebits ! That's too relatable and heartbreaking!!)
I just… really want them to kiss 😳
It’s really hard to find a date when you are the single parent of assassin babies that always find their way into terrible trouble….
The director of cybersecurity from the Electronic Freedom Foundation is offering to help women who have been threatened with compromise of their devices.
I better see EVERYBODY reblogging this
Now the universe is so expansive.
No Avengers movie to date passes the Bechdel Test. Think about that. Think very hard about that…
<<Scarlett added she was ‘relieved’ when the MCU incorporated Cobie Smulders’ character Maria Hill into the 2010 epic, while 2016’s Captain America: Civil War catapulted Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlett Witch into the scene.
‘By the time Lizzie’s character was introduced, Scarlett Witch, and Cobie came in and did Maria Hill, I was so thankful to have two other women in the cast. We would cling to one another.’>>
Yet no director, writer or producer seemed to care about the fact that they didn’t let these women interact on screen. Which is absurd because that phrase – “we would cling to one another”, is the most realistic mindset of women that find themselves in a cluster of men. We cling to one another. We seek out our own dynamics away from the locker-room banter.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a million times more if I have to: forever pissed about this.

#i was about to scroll past this venomously but omfg
This is basically Age of Ultron Fix it
Age of Ultron was not the only movie that needs a fix it. And this fix it is insufficient. You know what? The whole damn thing needs an overhaul and queering.
Hill: We don’t play favorites
Coulson: *polishing a framed picture of Clint and Natasha*
Coulson: We don’t?
Fury: *polishing a framed picture of Hill, Coulson, Clint and Natasha*
Fury: Absolutely not.
