Decided to watch a bit of a playthrough for Brain Damaged.

I LOVE how much BLOOD there is and it being grossly pixelated somehow makes it better.

Movement is only subtly dizzying for me, but of course, it's one of those things you get used to.

Level design is... the most interesting of all, but I won't comment on it besides that it makes sense.

Also Postal 2 (on Steam) is so janky and dated and gleefully, trashfully stupid that it is a true breath of fresh air now. It runs better than it did when it released, and they support it enough to update the Steam version for gamepad and modern widescreen support. And where else are you going to see the late Gary Coleman featured in a way that knows exactly how best to use him? There is a rock-stupid genius here.

This is awkward trash. And beautiful in that. Few artists know exactly what they're trying to do, and keep trying to do it.

Postal 2 is 99 cents on Steam. Besides the reduced original rate of crashing, it is just as stupid and annoying and moronic and fun as it was back in 2003.

Yes, it's sexist and racist and objectively bad. But that was clearly the intent. To make a point? Or not? Maybe it says something about the world it came out of, totally unintentionally? I don't know. No one knows.

And maybe that doesn't matter. Maybe it is just bad and stupid and offensive. But even if it is...maybe that in and of itself is worthwhile. Maybe trash matters.
