"Hey there pepperhead, legal isn't super exited about this tweet"
Adrian: With all of that time up in space what did you and Grace do question?
Rocky: We learned to communicate, Grace showed me images from his home planet, I put on puppet shows for him—
Adrian: Puppet shows question?
Rocky: Grace is sometimes smart and other times very very dumb

Work it grandma
OK I SAID WORK IT AND SHE REALLY DID
I think you mean, "Work it, GREAT grandma". And she does!
obsessed with this bookshop in stratford-upon-avon having WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE listed as a ”local author”
do you read fanfic for a fandom you haven't engaged with otherwise?
no and I wouldn't
no but I'd try
yes and I liked it
yes but it's not for me
I don't think ppl should read fanfic without understanding the source material
Walter White
just stumbled across a video of someone asking for fic recs and when asked what fandom they replied 'any' and my mind short circuited, pls add your thoughts in the tags
In the early days of webrings and "lemons" et cetera, I read fanfic for…Jesus, I don't even remember. Several random anime (possibly Yuyu Hakusho? Prince of Tennis?) because that's what I could find that had anything gay in it. There was no real google search. Fanfic was hosted on personal sites because no larger sites would allow anything explicit, especially not if it was queer. (It still frequently disappeared.) Ff.net and livejournal were still in their infancy and livejournal barely had a search function.
I found them connected through webrings (mutual links to similar sites) of original gay fic, some of which was extremely badly written, but it was gay. I still have some of the original fics printed out in hardcopy - goodness knows if they still exist anywhere online.
I don't read fic for things I'm not familiar with anymore because I have options now. Livejournal communities were a massive gift to fandom. Archive of Our Own, I cannot stress enough, was a game changer. The amount of queer published fiction has exploded. We have so many more ways to read about people like us now.
Inspired by this post (x). I keep thinking about how gender is viewed differently in Qunari society and is determined by job. But what if the job itself WAS their gender?
Bull being from gender nonconforming Qunari society would lead to witty situations like this:
Orlesian: Are you a man or a woman Iron Bull: I’m a spy O: No I meant biologically IB: A Qunari O: No I mean what’s between your legs IB: On a good day, someone’s mouth ],) ],) ],)
VENT POST
It's absolutely crazy that intellectual labor can wipe you out. It seems like it shouldn't be a thing, like your stores of brain juice shouldn't be able to be depleted in that way.
I feel like a wizard that's out of spell slots, and to me that's a hackish mechanical limitation put in place to try to balance the classes.

I've asked this question before and been surprised by the results, now I have access to more weirdos it's your problem:
It is the middle of a Sunday afternoon. You have nothing on, and aren't expecting visitors, deliveries or post.
Unexpectedly, there is a knock at the door.
Which of these would surprise you more to find on the doorstep?
Fairy
Walrus
Not naming options to skew votes but...
I think there's something fundamentally baffling with the way most of you think.
Happy birthday to this iconic poll

rereading your own fics/wips is a very slippery slope into finding out you actually have to finish your fics if you want them finished
the number 1 rule of fanfic is have fun and be yourself. the number 2 rule is the average healthy adult male can lose roughly 2 liters of blood before dying.
