- claire. claire is far too trusting. always. skye almost feels bad about it, that she doesn’t deserve to have her loose gold on her kitchen counter pocketed, or her shipping bin raided for mined valuables. she doesn’t even notice, and when she does - she’s more concerned than anything. is he hungry? does he need anything?

- he drops one of his recipes for curry in her mailbox a few evenings after he steals from her. skye doesn’t always feel guilty about stealing, but - he does this time. he’s surprised at how much it eats at him until he finds some way to apologize.

- they don’t see each other very often, at the beginning. claire is rarely awake past ten pm, and when she is - she’s definitely not skulking around vesta’s farm to see him slink down from the mountains. it’s her dog who warns her, always, of skye being close to her farm.

- she’s really guilty about falling asleep in his presence! he’s a night owl and she’s usually awake by five or six am!! whenever they get to the point of her inviting him into her home, she’s awful about lounging against her bed or in an arm chair and nodding off. he probably thinks it’s cute, but she’s mortified.

"Hey -" it's far past midnight, the cold puffing her breath. "I made - curry. For you. For Christmas! I didn't bring it with me, because it's get cold... but ... if you wanna come over?" Her voice wavers, confidence starting to wane. Was she being too - forward?

  skye blinked, she didn’t want the curry to get cold…how cute. it was understandable though, snowing and carrying hot food in this weather wouldn’t be so pleasant. he could tell she was being forward, it didn’t bother him. not like he would be doing anything else but coming over for curry. “a beautiful lady asking me over? you’re so adorable,” he chuckled “of course i’ll come over.” this wasn’t an invitation he’d turn down.

"Hey - leave my plants alone," she called, leaning on the fence that separated her crops from her barns. Claire wasn't usually out so late, but some wild dogs had been bothering her chicken coops. "If you're hungry - let me feed you," she offered. It was the least she could do. She already fed Murray on a usual basis... why not him, too?

  oh, so these were her plants? a light chuckle emitted from his lips while staring at her, the darkness made him much more mysterious, “i wouldn’t dream of touching a beautiful lady’s plants.” green hues staring at her, “me?” he wasn’t really hungry, but, didn’t she know who he is? perhaps not.”not unless there’s something far more delicious than you?” he teased, obviously he wouldn’t court her, a flirt and that’s all he’d be.

Constantly Waiting for Skye like…..

So, clearly, one thing a lot of people noticed with the announcement of Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is that a lot of the characters have changed their appearance. While some of these changes are hit and miss, there’s a lot of changes that make sense! So I thought I would do a little series about them. So I present…

Then and now: Kai!

Kai is one of the characters that between Flowerbud and Mineral Town has a complete philosophy change. Kai in 64 is a hard working man who’s trying to support his family back home and dressed appropriately for the part with workboots and all. He’s pretty dedicated to that family as well, having left them behind at the age of 15 to seek work and send money home to support them. One of his first jobs being at the Vineyard in Flowerbud Village, where he meets and falls in love with Karen and ends up working there for the next five years to stay close to her. Can’t help but feel guilty when the player marries her and this poor guy just lost what he dedicated a quarter of his life to…

Mineral Town’s Kai on the other hand doesn’t seem to care much for his family back home, who he resents for being strict and uncaring, and prefers to live a laid back, casual life. He might come off as a bit selfish and lazy, but he justifies it as being true to himself and preferring to be a free spirit. Those aspects are probably the qualities that make Popuri like him the most, as she herself is denied much freedom. Kai can be a little surprising though, since he still acknowledges Popuri’s family loves and cares for her, even if Rick has a short fuse when confronting him about it.

Not that Flowerbud Kai doesn’t have an adventurous spirit himself. Should Karen run away from home, he’ll leave to follow her. Likewise, if Mineral Town’s Kai falls in love with the player, he’ll end his lifestyle to be with them. These two Kais have different approaches to life, work ethic, and completely different families, they can still be a bit of a hopeless romantic. Though no matter who Mineral Town’s Kai ends up with, he gets to live life as he chooses, landing where life’s currents took him.

hahaha i have one slot where i married rock and the other where i married skye and i accidentally saved the second slot over the first. so now i have to woo skye all over again. ahaha sob, what’s more is i managed to get every other rival love event too.
