They're trying to build a new mega datacenter in utah, in a county that i used to live in, and its quite possibly the evilest shit you could pull. like seriously, we are already rationing water, the great salt lake is in decline, and they pull this? fuck you, senator cox. heres a list of everythig bad about this project:

Water. We're already in a bad drought, our snowpack is weak cause we got almost no snow this winter, the farmers arent going to have enough to grow crops, the orchards, ect.

It's going to be built on native american holy land. I heard shoshone, though i may be wrong (please forgive me if i am).

Its going to be built next to an important migratory bird refuge, and will be dumping that heat into the enviorment around it, which can have disasterous effects.

It will be gas powered, and consume around 3* the entire power consumption of the state of utah.

its planned to be around 40000 acres of land, about triple the size of orem, an entire town, which means it will have a massive urban heat island effect. also just building over that much desert is terrible for the local wildlife.

Its going to be used for military and survailiance AI. I'm against killing people. this will spy on you and kill people for the military. Not much else to say.
