Hello everyone and welcome to my little corner of the internet.
Not much to say about this little blog. It's mostly for an OC but also for writing peices that I can come up with.
I'm part of many fandoms so there will be a variety of x readers. From Overwatch to LOTR to The Witcher to Castlevania. You never know what or who I could be writing for :3
I also only strictly write for gender neutral, male, and ftm readers. There is a lack of true gender neutral, male, and ftm x reader fics out there and I am ready to remedy that.
A masterlist will be provided once I write enough fics to make one.
I think that's about it. Feel free to ask questions if you have any!
do you ever plan on writing more? your legolas piece was so good!
Once I have a moment without a migraine and writer's block, I will 100% write more. However, my physical and mental health took a bit of a dip recently, so I'm trying to recover. More writings will come soon!
I would love to learn more about Dustelle. How did he and Thranduil end up together? What does he think of Legolas? Does his dark urge ever affect his relationship with Thranduil?
There's an entire storyline on how Dustelle and Thranduil ended up in a relationship as well as how the dark urge affects it. I just need to write out the finer details and eventually post it haha.
As for Dustelle's opinion on Legolas, he's fine with him. That's technically his step-son so he wants to have a good relationship with him. he wants to be someone Legolas can confide in and trust.
If you have any more questions about Dustelle or the ship, don't hesitate to ask!
Summary: Dustelle unfortunately suffers a migraine while in Thranduil's presence. Needless to say, he's in good hands.
WC: 600+
Warnings: established relationship, oc x canon, self insert, mentions of migraines, not proofread (because im currently suffering from a migraine) its gay leave me alone lol
A/N: a little bit of a short one. it was more like a warm up for me lol. i suffer from chronic migraines and really wrote this one for myself. thranduil kinda takes the top slot out of my big 3 in lotr/the hobbit so yeah. i wrote this for my own comfort.
I DO NOT USE AI FOR MY WRITING! DO NOT PUT MY WORKS THROUGH AI!
Falling asleep with a migraine sucks so much.
Waking up with a worse one is awful.
Walking around with a migraine with a very attentive love who just so happens to be an elven king just screams trouble.
I swear he notices things way too quickly. Maybe it was the way I would wince when in the sun or when light was shining in my eyes, or was it when I would have to pause during a walk through the halls when my head would start thumping badly. No matter what it was, he noticed it right away.
"Something's wrong and you're not telling me." He spoke in a regal tone, his movements calculated as he stepped to me and placed his hand on my forehead. "No fever, but you look exhausted. Tell me what's wrong."
A sigh left my lips, "There's no hiding anything from you, is there? I have a migraine. Its nothing I haven't gone through before though, I'll be fine." As if on cue, a terrible throbbing shot through my skull, almost bringing me to my knees.
Thranduil's hands kept me on my feet, "You're not fine. You need rest." Before I could even protest, he was guiding me back to my chambers. There was no changing his mind when it came to my health and safety.
As we approached my room, I could hear him in a hushed tone order the guards to darken the hallways and to tell everyone to keep quiet. A confused look made its way to my face, why would he do that? It's not like he would let me leave this room anyway. The last time I wasn't feeling well, I wasn't even allowed to leave bed.
Thranduil guided me to my bed and moved to close the curtains, drowning the room in darkness save for a single candle on my desk. "That should help a little bit."
"How do you know I'm more sensitive to light when I have migraines? I never told you about them before." I sat back on the bed, knowing he wouldn't be happy if I was still standing.
"I've had my own share of headaches, but none as bad as a migraine. However, I've noticed when you start to feel under the weather, you try to hide in darkness and stay away from noise. I can only assume you've had migraines before in my presence and just never told me." He moved to sit next to me. "I hate seeing you in any kind of pain, my dear. Just tell me how I can help and it will be done."
A tear ran down my face, "No one has ever cared for me during a migraine before. I normally deal with them on my own. Thank you."
He wiped the tear from my cheek with his thumb and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead, "It's no trouble at all, my sweet Dustelle. Now, tell me everything I can do to help you."
I leaned against him and explained how staying in a dark, cold environment helps with my headaches. He listened, I could tell he was taking mental notes about everything I was telling him.
"You lay down and relax. I'll send for a healer to help you stay cool as well as to soothe the pain. Unfortunately, I have business to attend to, but I will be back. If you need to leave the room, the halls will be dark for you." He pet my hair with a small smile, "Never try to hide your pain from me again, Dustelle. You know better."
I watched as he stood and left the room, closing the door gently. As I laid back in bed with my head throbbing, all I could feel at the moment was love. Never in my life did I have someone care for me the way he did.
i must know more about your OC! what's the inspiration behind them? how did you come up with their design? i need all the details!
LMAO alright, guess it's time for me to introduce Dustelle.
Dustelle is based off of me so technically he is a self insert character of sorts. The design came from my wife who just made me as accutately as possible in the game (yes we use mods, we play on xbox lol).
I go by Dusty IRL and had the name Dustelle Everglass as a fantasy character name for a while but never had the chance to design fantasy "me" officially until recently.
Wife wanted to do it and I love how the character came out, so how it's the official self insert!
Dustelle Everglass as a character is a level 12 Archfey Warlock / level 8 Arcane Trickster Rogue who also happens to be the Dark Urge in Baldur's Gate 3. (there is a reason for the durge but its a bit personal)
He is a noble who ran away from home because he hated the lifestyle and wanted to live freely.
Summary: Legolas hadn't gotten around to reading all the letters you've sent him.
WC: 1k
Warnings: established relationship, long distance, reunion, a single use of y/n (for a letter), gender neutral reader, a bit of an AU (deal with it :3)
A/N: this idea has been sitting in the back of my mind for a while now so why not finally write it out and post it lol.
Being in a long distance relationship with Legolas wasn't exactly easy. He was constantly moving around, not knowing where he would end up next. Going on many adventures was one of his shall we say 'hobbies' and he enjoyed them, but it never gave him any time to write or send letters to his beloved. He could only imagine how many were waiting for him when he finally returned home. So many questions flooded the elf's mind. How worried were you? Were you angry with him for not replying? Would you understand his side of things if he were to finally answer?
Only time would tell as he was finally headed home after a few grueling months of adventuring. He made a mental note to stay put for some time so he could receive and reply to your letters. It was your only form of communication at the moment, living in different kingdoms complicates things, but you somehow made it work after all this time. He wouldn't stop now. Upon his arrival, his father greeted him and explained how letter after letter came for him during his absence. That was one mystery solved, but another one stood. How frantically were you sending them for his father to mention them.
As he entered his chambers, he look and saw a decent pile of letters, all addressed from you. A sigh left his lips, he felt terrible not being able to reply to any of them while he was away. Instead of reading through every single one of them, he grabbed the one from the top of the pile. It was the most recent one you've sent him, the scent of your floral perfume spritz onto the letter made him smile. He loved when you added that little bit of personality to your letters. It always reminded him of your time together. He opened the letter and began to read.
Dearest Legolas,
I have to say I'm quite disappointed with you not replying to any of my letters. I understand you like to go out adventuring, but normally you're not gone for this long. I know I've sent quite a few messages by now, please give the king my sincerest apologies, but I am very worried about you, my love. Are you injured? Are you safe? So many question race through my mind during the day.
But I digress, I've decided to surprise you with something. I'm coming to your kingdom fairly soon. Most likely when you finally receive and read this letter, I will already be on my way there. There is no stopping me, and fret not. I have someone escorting me there so I will be quite safe on my journeys. I hope to see you greet me when I arrive.
Your love,
~[y/n]
He reread the letter several time, looking over your signature at the bottom of the page. After a moment, it finally clicked in his mind. You were coming to Mirkwood. How long until you arrived? Did he have time to wash up? He didn't want to greet you in dirty attire after so many months apart. He took that chance, washing up and putting on fresh, clean clothes. Once he was finished, he could hear the sound of hooves in the distance, just near the gates. There was no doubt about it, it had to be you. Legolas made his way down to where you had finally dismounted your horse and smiled when he spotted you.
"My love!" He shouted from a distance, still walking towards you.
You looked around and finally saw him making his way towards you. A big smile formed on your lips as you full on sprinted in his direction, dropping your bag off your shoulders and throwing yourself into his arms, "My darling Legolas!"
He twirled you around and laughed, "Oh my love, I missed you so much. It's been so long since we've been together!"
Legolas placed you back on your feet and kissed your forehead. You looked into his eyes, "Oh my dear, it truly has been far too long. But I do plan on staying in town for a little bit if your father is alright with it."
"He will have no choice but to be fine with it. You'll be staying in my chambers for the duration of your stay. We have to much to catch up on." His hands rested on your hips as he spoke, "I'm sorry I couldn't reply to your letters.
You shook your head, "It's alright, my love. After the first week or so I figured you were either busy with things or simply not in Mirkwood."
"I was out on an adventure. It took much longer than I originally expected. I would've sent one to tell you, but I had no time to sit down and write. I read the most recent one though when i returned, about your arrival."
"So that's why you smell so fresh and look fresh out of the bathtub. You got all clean up just for me?" You questioned him with a devious smirk on your face.
The tips of his ears turned pink, "Yes, I didn't wish to greet you in filthy clothing or to smell like a rat den when you arrived."
You kissed the tip of his nose, "I'm just teasing, love. Don't worry about it."
He walked and grabbed your bag and threw it over his shoulder, "Come, we can continue to talk in my room. But first I'm sure my father would want to see you. Believe it or not, he enjoys your company."
You followed him to the throne room and greeted Thranduil with a bow. A small smile formed on the king's lips as he welcomed you back to the kingdom. You and Legolas headed to his room where you both caught each other up with what had happened in your lives during your separation. You both eventually agreed that every few months, a rendezvous was needed to keep you two sane.
