A heavy sigh fell from her lips as Jordan prepared to walk all the way to work. A voice reached her just as she started walking, worrying her for a moment until she saw that it was Dustin. She waved to him as he waited at the red light. “I was waiting for the bus, but I’m pretty sure I missed it already.” she laughed uncomfortably, adjusting her bag on her shoulder. “So I was just going to walk. What about you?”

It’s not like Dustin and Jordan were very close as co-workers, but the gentleman in Dustin wasn’t about to let the girl walk all the way to work. “Nonsense, just hop in.” He grinned chuckling. “I promise I don’t bite.” He offered. He wasn’t sure if she’d take the offer or not, or if she’d find it weird, but he had to at least give her the option. “I mean I’m headed to work, but I’ve got time to drop you off where ever you’re going.” He added in quickly knowing they didn’t have a lot of time till the light would change.

“Nice save.” Dustin chuckled a bit to himself. “But I think it’s gonna be a while.” He shrugged pressing his lips together.

I actually don’t know? I don’t really have a nickname or anything that I know of...though it’d be really cool if I did!

My Ex’s ...well now ex-best friend. But before you judge me, it’s not like we were dating when it happened.

Not really. I’m not really in a place were that matters one way or the other, but I won’t lie it’d be nice to have someone to cozy up to now that it’s getting a bit chilly.

Not in person. Some embarrassing baby pictures have leaked, but other then that nope.

Um maybe? But why would I want to?

Jordan had woken up late. She was still trying to catch up on sleep after all the chaos that had been going on recently. If it weren’t for the fact that she was going to be late, she would’ve felt fantastic. For once, Jordan felt well rested. She got ready quickly, skipping breakfast entirely to try to make it to the bus stop in time. She sprinted through outside, and didn’t stop until she got to the bench. By the time she got there, the bus was already pulling away from the curb. She sighed. She would have a chance to be on time if she headed there on foot, but she’d be exhausted again before she even got to work. Still, she accepted that she had no other choice and started walking toward Disney. She’d probably have to run part of the way to save time, but for now she needed to catch her breath.

Dustin was a very go with the flow kind of dude most of the time, so things like what was going on at work really threw him off his groove. He wasn’t sleeping right, she was busier than normal, and he just plain didn’t feel like he had much control over what was going on around him. So when he woke up early for once he was surprised.  good surprised, but still surprised. He got ready with plenty of time to spare and cruised towards Disney. He was driving a bit slower since he didn’t want to actually get to work. with everything happening he was knda freaked out. He almost didn’t notice Jordan at the bus stop when he drove up, lucky for him it was a red light. He blinked before rolling down his window, “ Hey what are you doing?” He asked curiously, hoping he didn’t sound weird.

“Holy sh-” Her profanity drowned by the sound of the fleeing crowd which was currently trampling her into a nearby table. She searched the faces for anyone she knew to see if anyone needed her help, though at the moment she felt completely useless. Working here had made others a first priority. 

Dustin had arrived very late to the party and sudenly he was questioning if he should’ve shown up at all considering the intense turn of events. Even for a pretty solid guy he was being pushed by the crowds trying to find an escape. When his eyes landed on Zamira pressed into a table he reached out a hand for her, “Come on let’s try this way!” He shouted tring to be heard over all the comotion, hoping he’d gotten her attention.

Theo laughed, shaking his head. “Yeah, that’s fair.” He waited patiently until Dustin came to a decision, accepting the menu back from him. “A fine choice,” he told him, ringing him up. He left for a brief moment to give the order back to the people in the kitchen before returning to the podium. “Now, it’ll be just a few minutes. But, in the mean time, I can be your wonderful company,” he stated, flashing another goofy smile.

“Thanks.” He grinned. He was glad his stomach waited till after he walked away to growl loud enough to  startle anyone who probably walked by. He proped himself aganst the wall ready for the wait when he returned, “ That’s fine, and I do love company.” He chuckled. “Has it been this slow all day?”

Zamira and Dustin shared a newness to their role that bonded them. Both seemed to be naturals at it and the teamwork it required when there were as many people involved in an event like the holiday parties. She appreciated having him around as she watched him address the masses. He definitely had a way of crowd control. She was privately addressing the guest next on line to have their books open and cameras ready. “Alright, time to greet the two greatest ducks in town!”, she announced, letting them approach the characters which ensued in hugs and photos. Zamira turned to her partner in crime. “Not bad.”, she commented to reassure him.

Working these events with others certainly made them easier, but he especially liked when he was paired with Zamira because for one they worked well with one another. It was easy to bounce things off each other, and she understood how it was being the newbie on the block. As she started up the event introducing the characters he was sure to remind people to stay in an orderly line as to not bombard or “scare” the ducks. He made his way back over to her grinning, “Back at yah.” He appreciated the reassurance and wanted to do the same for her. She did an amazing job and dserved to know it. He chuckled watching the kids havng such a great time meeting their favorite characters. “Best part of the magic.” he mused softly so that only she could hear before walking to help keep thoes farthur in line entertained.
