At a time where jewish groups are being banned from pride events, you do not get to use Anne Franke, a dead jew murdered for being jewish before she could ever come out, as a puppet for whatever queer rights message you want to share.

You do not get to profit, financially or attention wise or another way, off of a *potentially* queer jew whilst we are banned from pride events.

We do not know if she was questioning her sexuality but ultimately straight or if she was actually queer because she was killed for the crime of existing as a jew before she could come out. Queer rights obviously matter. Anne Franke is not the person you should be using.

You need to protect alive queer jews. You need to love all jews, not just the dead ones.

Brooks Laich has some of the best stories. When pressed on his radio segment to tell a story about Ovi no one knows, Brooks, as Ovi’s current longest running teammate, talked about the time Ovi bought Breitling watches for his entire team and the staff to thank them after he cleaned up at the NHL awards.

He also talked about how, “There was one time in particular in Calgary where we weren’t playing very well, and we had just gotten chewed out by the coach, and right away he goes to the stereo and he puts on the reggae song ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy.’ Right after this ass]-chewing from the coach, he lit up our team, whatever, and he goes to the stereo goes to the stereo and puts on ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’ to just kind of lighten the whole room again.”

If your "support" for a minority group rests on members of the group loudly dismissing and condemning literally half of their people on the planet because of where they live, pretending that their connection to the land where their entire culture and traditions were born doesn't exist,denying centuries of historical facts and evidence in order to assuage the "river to the sea" brigade, or honestly expecting them to stay an eternal defenseless minority in countries that have, in living memory, almost wiped them out entirely because their self determination, strength, and ability to defend themselves in their homeland discomforts you, your "support" means fuck all.
