she cant help it, she gets the giggles!
couldn't be happier!
gayest parts of wicked: for good off the top of my head:
- consistent rainbow symbolism. “it’s because somewhere over the rainbow!” right but were they ever over the rainbow or was it just a pride flag that followed glinda around?
- elphaba giving fiyercrow glinda’s big brown eyes. insane because green eyes would have been a one trillion times better choice for him.
- elphaba wearing that lingerie under her oufit to glinda’s wedding. keep in mind that when she left she had no idea she was gonna sleep with fiyero but she DID know that she was gonna go straight to glinda’s bedroom.
- fiyeraba’s thing being “you’re beautiful” when glinda was the first to say it to elphaba in popular
- speaking of popular, the mirror shot in alaym matching the mirror shot in popular, except fiyero is in glinda’s place. dare i say elphaba also looks considerably happier in popular’s scene, and that it’s significant that glinda is looking right at her, as opposed to fiyero turning towards her neck.
- the giant fucking rainbow room that glinda & the wizard had prepped in case elphaba came back and wanted to do a dance number with them
- elphaba keeping and frequently looking at the “i hope you get what your heart desires 💕” pamphlet even though it’s been a full year since she last saw glinda
- thank goodness being covered in lavender-colored flowers (not lavender itself but about as close as you can get with a hanging plant)
- speaking of which glinda wearing a lavender colored dress for half the movie??
- the song where they say “i love you” literally being called into the closet. and them saying i love you at all especially with those looks on their faces
- every part of for good
- literally ANY shot from the field montage, including the last scene
- glinda’s pre-wedding and wedding dresses’ necklines matching the shape of elphaba’s glasses
- similarly, glinda’s wedding jewelry having green gems. also, her crown has green gems that flash near the beginning of girl in the bubble
- every single one of her oufits has at least some green in it, thanks to the above. including deleted outfits!
- girl in the bubble in general
- the whole movie

Things Elphaba Notices About Glinda After She Returns (2)
Enclosed or small spaces have become a comfort for her, an extremely painful detail if thought about too hard. After Elphaba returns, she notices the way Glinda will sleep in the linen closet in her suite when she isn’t around, curled up at the very back with a pillow and blanket
Glinda apologizes for every small mistake that she makes, especially if it has to do with Elphaba
Glinda refuses to wear silver shoes of any kind, even if they would go well with her outfit
Ironically, for one that travels via bubble, Glinda isn’t fond of heights whatsoever. Elphaba notices that she’ll put up with it for the sake of Oz, but that it takes a lot out of her
There’s a lot of awful self-talk where Glinda never seems to stop referring to herself as ‘useless.’ She could have spilled a glass of water and it’s the first word out of her mouth. Elphaba notices this early on and immediately decides she doesn’t like it
Glinda is now a voracious reader and it warms/breaks Elphaba’s heart when she realizes that all the books on Glinda’s nightstand are ones Elphaba tried to convince her to read at Shiz and Glinda always said no
Perhaps one of Elphaba’s favorites is the way Glinda is always determined to be the little spoon, there’s no way out of it (not that Elphaba minds)
Glinda is by no means an alcoholic, but the way she seems to rely on it for sleep on rough days is disturbing
Ever since Elphaba’s ‘death’ and Glinda’s thrust into unexpected (and unwanted) power, the Grimmerie has begun to respond to her more and more. It’s later on that Elphaba realizes it must be because things were definitely not easy for Glinda the past five years she’d been left alone
Most importantly, Elphaba realizes that Glinda never stopped loving her
"fiyero ended up with elphaba because he was willing to make the sacrifices glinda couldn't" takes really annoy me because they completely ignore that when glinda does make the same choice as fiyero and tries to sacrifice everything to save elphie, she is explicitly told not to because she has to do what's best for oz. so glinda is basically shoved in the worst trolley problem ever where she can try to save elphie and give up all her social capital and power that would allow her to save oz, or give up elphie to do right by oz. elphaba recognizes this and begs her to choose the latter. and this is a choice fiyero is never asked to make because he isn't held to the same moral standard as glinda. unlike glinda (and elphaba, of course), he has no responsibility to the greater world around them outside of being a love interest for elphaba. so it's hard to compare glinda and fiyero as moral agents when they're held to very different standards by the narrative and glinda has a much heavier burden placed upon her

“Oh, Elphie” scene study
BREAKING NEWS: Glinda The Good and The Wicked Witch of The West were seen having a tumble in Munchkinland, right in front of the recently deceased Eminence of the East.
"They do this thing where, Glinda – she put her hand up there, kinda like when they waved in the train station. It is the opposite of that, though. And Elphaba puts her hand against it, almost just like their way but they don’t do the way. So I was like 'Oh, in movie one, the train station theme', then they wave to each other and we think that’s the end of their story. And then Glinda changes it, she’s like 'No, I’m getting on that train', and then you hear this (score), but in this moment what if we use that score again - No One Mourns - and this time, she is not getting on that train. Oh it’s so tragic. It was beautiful.” - Jon M Chu
About the score in the door scene and the callback to the train station scene (x)
