EMERGENCY - Please help a disabled lesbian recover from mold poisoning

Hey everyone. I’m sure y’all are getting tired of hearing from me, but my shithouse life just took another crazy turn and I’m going to have to reach out to you again. For those who haven’t been following along, I’ve had fibromyalgia for most of my life. About five years ago I moved away from my abusive family to live with my best friend, who lives literally across the country from them. Ever since I moved here, though, my pain and symptoms have worsened to like, an insane degree; I went from being in pain but mostly functional to being practically incapacitated, walking with a cane and needing prescription painkillers just to make it through the day. No one has been able to pinpoint the cause of this, and my illness has made it impossible for me to live a functioning life.

Recently we had to get repairs done on extensive water damage in the bathroom (you guys helped me out with staying in hotels, remember?) and during the repairs the dudes found black mold in the bathroom. I’ve learned about the health effects of toxic mold on people, especially those with fibromyalgia, and it just so happens that our old apartment had been totally covered in mold as well (we hadn’t seen the worst of it until we moved the furniture, but it was literally ALL OVER THE WALLS). 

I did some research and it turns out that yes, mold can cause fibromyalgia or make it way worse. So I went to my doctor and explained the situation, and we got tests done, and guess what…. I tested positive for HIGH - VERY HIGH amounts of several different types of mold. I asked her what I can do about it and she said I have to move out of my roommate’s house immediately.

Thing is… I have nowhere to go. My illness has kept me from working since 2012, so I have absolutely no income. I’ve filed for disability, but it’s been two months since my hearing and I haven’t heard anything back regarding a decision. The literal only option right now is moving back in with my abusers and I’d really, really rather not do that.

I really need your help, guys. Please have a look at my fundraiser and consider donating so I can at least stay somewhere else for a while to recover from this. I need to get my life back. I wasted five years of it fighting this illness, lost my fiancee, and haven’t been able to do any of the things I’ve wanted to do with my life. It’s time for me to get healthy again.

So I’ve been watching a lot of Catfish lately and because the only thing I can think about these days is Sheith, I present to you this: Catfish AU 

Shiro is Instagram famous because he has an adorable cat and started posting selfies with said cat (they go hiking while the cat wears a leash and he works out with the cat and is just generally Too Cute) and he and Keith get to talking through a reddit thread for aspiring astronauts/astronaut enthusiasts and this goes on for years because both of them are The Worst at expressing their feelings. Matt and Lance are both convinced that Shiro and Keith are simultaneously being catfished because Keith never sends Shiro any pictures (his phone is a Razr from 2006 with a broken camera and the only computer he owns is a desktop with dial-up internet because he lives in a shack in the desert and he works on motorcycles and Matt thinks this is insane because that definitely sounds like a real person living in the 21st century and not something someone made up, Shiro, you gullible idiot) and the pictures Shiro sends (through email, because again, Keith lives in a shack in the desert) are of Shiro, famous Instagram personality, who of course is not actually Shiro, because he’s Shiro, Lance’s hero, who would never in a million years be talking to Keith, his friend the desert cryptid who can’t be bothered to have any internet presence except for his reddit account, whose avatar is a picture of his dog, which he only has because Pidge took a picture once and emailed it to him, whose name is not Cosmo, it’s Cosmonaut Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin, you asshole.
