it relies so heavily on christian beliefs like sorry but i'm not scared of demons or satan or hell. how about you come up with your own monster and make it textually scary by setting up the lore and the beliefs of the characters instead of trying to call on preexisting fear because that shit is not universal.

it's like if i made a movie about bugs while assuming everyone in the audience had entomophobia like me. and instead of like, depicting the bugs in a scary way, i just depicted bugs doing completely normal bug stuff and assumed everyone would find it scary because everyone is already naturally scared of bugs. well, someone who is neutral towards or likes bugs would not find it scary. because it's not, unless you have a preexisting fear of bugs.
