Yasmeen for Giorgio Armani, f/w 1992/93
[The tour bus was huge. It had rounded the corner and was now pulling up in front of my parent's estate. The day I had been waiting so long for was finally here. Joy overwhelmed me as I watched it get closer and closer. I bent down to pick up my bags. I would normally let my guardians carry them but I was just too excited. As the driver opened the door and stepped off the bus to load on our stuff on, I turned to take one last look at where it all began. I wouldn't see the house I grew up in for a little over a year. I knew I would miss my room, the smell of fresh baked cookies on the weekends, and my cousin @RoyalIvashkov. He had been staying with us for a little while now and we had grown ever closer than before and not because we were both Spirit users. I released my bags when I felt the hands of one of my guardians on them and walked towards my family. I first engulfed my mom in a hug, holding her tight against me. She had supported me through out my journey. She had taught me how to sing and play the guitar and most importantly she had taught me to be myself. Releasing my grip, I went to stand in front of my dad. As I looked into his eyes I could tell he didn't want to let me go. A lump began to form deep in my throat. I was his little girl. I mustered up what little control I had and sent positive vibes his way before giving him a big bear hug. Finally, I made my way towards @RoyalIvashkov and hugged him into oblivion. It felt like we hugged for an eternity. He had been by my side through the thick and thin and now I was venturing out on a journey without him.] Make sure to visit me okay? Hopefully I'll get some sleep and every time I drift off I'll be expecting you. [I laughed lightly as I released him. I could already feel the little tinge of darkness trying to creep up on me as I thought about my little sister #Hunter. I wouldn't get to see her until I was close to St. Vladimir's or Christmas. I hated the idea of her being stuck at school while I was chasing my dreams. I took in a deep breath and pushed the dark thoughts into the back of my mind like where they should be. Turning on my heels, I reached my hand out, wrapped my small fingers around the rail, and climbed my way up the stairs. I could feel my jaw drop as I took in my surroundings. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. I placed my hand over my heart in a horrible attempt to control my excited heartbeat. It was perfect. Everything was perfect. In fact, it sometimes seemed unreal to me. I took a seat on the couch and looked out the window. I watched as the city I grew up in passed me by. Though it was a beautiful day I could already feel my energy draining from the exposure to the sunlight. I watched as we passed the homes of my neighbors and friends, most of which were humans. It always surprised others how comfortable I was around humans. I reached down in my pocket, grabbing my iPod and headphones. I didn't want to think about the negative, not right now at least. Without @RoyalIvashkov by my side, I had no one to help me control the looming darkness that turned me into a monster. With a small sigh, I placed my earbuds into each ear and began scrolling down the screen with my thumb. I had so many selections that I decided to listen to it all. Pressing the shuffle button, I turned up the volume and pulled down the blinds to block out the sun. I let my eyes close, giving way to my exhaustion. Good thing I only had to perform at night. Letting the music take control, I let my mind wander to all the possibilities, eventually falling into a deep sleep.]
