Liniadel, as she found herself doing so often the last month, was walking through the ship in the dead of night. Ever since she had moved to her new home away from home she walked its corridors more often than she slept; partly because it soothed her overactive mind, but more so because she sought to memorize the layout of the S.Laughtership. This place would be her home in the days to come, she would be in charge of defending it- she needed to know every nook and cranny. Still, even so, the shadowed, empty corridors and hallways allowed herself silence to sort her thoughts.

But now, things were different. Now, the ship was full, no longer scarcely populated by a skeleton crew. Their prospects and recruits had finally been introduced to their new home, and the once deserted hallways were now bustling with activity; Liniadel could hardly walk five feet before brushing past someone eagerly headed somewhere. With all the activity, Liniadel couldn’t help but feel an odd sense of satisfaction. This ragtag, crazy idea was finally coming together. To be among those she knew, those who had her respect and trust… It felt like home again.
