hey honest question, did anybody have GOOD stuff happen to them in 2024? cause it was really bad for me and for most people i know, so it would be nice to hear about anything that's been going WELL for any of you. even if it's small stuff. just to know there's light out there.

We should stop telling kids not to “give in” to peer pressure and instead tell them to mock those who do the pressuring.

“Why would you not respect their boundaries? Wtf that’s so cringe”

“You seriously can’t enjoy yourself unless everyone is doing in it too?”

“If you jump off a bridge, do you need people to follow you? It’s giving desperate”

“It’s high key embarrassing that you can’t find someone who wants to match your freak”

“Why would you pressure them like that? That’s so weird dude”

(And yes, I know these examples are giving “what’s up my fellow youths” but you get the point)

Let’s be honest, “Just say no” is a form of victim blaming. It takes the focus off the real problem, the pressure-ers . Because yes, it IS hard to say no when your friends keep pressing you to go outside your boundaries.

We all as a collective need to teach (and show) kids to respect boundaries and that not doing so is honestly embarrassing.

There’s no greater power in this world than teen mockery.
