lets do an experiment.
Reblog this if you don’t mind doing multiple threads at a time with someone.

Alanna didn’t mean to be as quiet as she was, moving with delicate grace that seemed to surprise people most of the time. After all, she wasn’t exactly a small woman and more often than not, she was in heels. But she still managed to move silently without conscious effort to do so. A smile crossed her features at Liv’s exasperation, Alanna resisting the urge to chuckle. “I know, I know.” She replied as the other woman rattled off her list of credentials. The brunette was well aware of Liv’s background, but that only made surprising her all the more amusing – even if it had been unintentional. Her gaze followed Liv’s to the window, frown forming. She’d been glad when the other woman arrived home, clearly fine, and that had distracted Alanna from why she’d used the key in the first place. “You were returning my texts - I was just coming to see if you were still alive when,” A gesture towards the window, brows furrowing. “I saw someone, slipping out the window. I didn’t know if you were okay, so I used the key. I was checking if you were here when I heard the door. I wasn’t sure if it was you or someone else again.” Hence why she hadn’t called out.
“Then don’t sneak up on me,“ she shook her head with a small sigh. That woman had twinkle toes even though her preferred shoes were high heels and they made a lot of sound. Olivia walked up to her fridge to get some juice. “well... yeah. being a private detective sometimes make me work late hours,“ the woman shrugged pouring a glass of juice before turning to Alanna. ”Since you’re here... Want some?“ she asked keeping the cupboard, where she kept the glasses too, open. But at her words of seeing someone leave her apartment through the window Olivia’s face went from relaxed to serious in 0.2 seconds. Liv was working on a case and it was bad if someone had broken in to steal something or get info of it. Right away she hurried to her office, nothing seemed to be missing or out of place. When she looked at the board with all the info she had gathered, there was a big poster over it with “Gotcha! -Dereck“ written on it. “That fucker!“ she laughed feeling relieved. “It’s all good, Alanna. You don’t have to worry about it. It was a stupid bet between me and a police officer from the police department.“

“ it’s clearly not nothing” charlie stared back at her, but couldn’t stop himself from rolling his eyes when she mentioned her break up. “ yeah well you’re better off, dunno why you were even with him” charlie had not thought much about her ex boyfriend, something he’d let his sister know quite a few times. “ try to enjoy this trip though, i mean who knows you may find someone else at the wedding” he shrugged. “ i’m gonna have a quick shower, wanna join?” charlie winked, clearly joking as he took off his shirt.
seemed like he bought it. “well, he never hurt me,” she shrugged before continuing, “until one point.” she had to keep herself away from rolling her eyes. her ex was a complete douche bag, with her wishful thinking and forgiving she realized it too late. “i don’t think it’s a good idea. everyone else probably lives somewhere from the other side of the country. it’s just me living in san francisco,” a sigh left her lips. “and you,” she quickly added. at his words kaia scrunched her nose, “no, i’m good. you go in without me.” and with that she turned around to look for her pajama, but not before taking a quick glance at his bare torso. fuck, he still looked amazing. she didn’t look at him while looking for her sleeping clothes, his question if she was angry at him had kind of stuck in her head. maybe... maybe if she confronted him it would go away? just a moment after she heard him walk in the bathroom kaia got up and marched in there too. “you know what, yes. i’m angry,” she firmly stated standing in the doorway. “why did you leave back then? we had sex, we fell asleep together and then the next morning you were gone. and i had to find out from your mother that you had left for college a few days early. from your mother, charlie!” she looked him straight in the eyes before continuing in a lower voice, “you was my first. i liked you. a lot.”
badboysxdontcry:
charlie hadn’t thought much about the night he had left because he hadn’t thought it was a big deal… sure, he probably could have stayed around for a bit in the morning, but he had been moving away, and he had figured it hadn’t been a big thing them sleeping together. although he knew he probably shouldn’t have complicated things by sleeping with her in the first place. following her to the room, once inside, he tossed his bag onto the floor. “ are you mad with me or something? you hardly said a word to me all trip, and now you’ve kicked up a fuss about sharing a room?”
she should have known he’d want answers. kaia was a grown woman, she shouldn’t be keeping things like this in her mind and in her heart, but she was young, he was kaia’s first and he hurt her... it didn’t go away just like that. “sorry. it’s... it’s nothing,” she shook her head deciding to give him just half of the truth. “the break up is still fresh in my mind, i’m not feeling myself today,” kaia shrugged looking at him and giving him a small, apologetic smile.
badboysxdontcry:
it was late, and there was no way he was going to drive somewhere else, besides it had taken long enough to find this place. “ no, we’ll take it , i’ll just make up a bed on the floor or something” charlie shrugged, handing over his card to the woman. “ it’s not like we’ve not shared a room together before, even a bed” again he shrugged, it wasn’t a big deal to him after all. “ come on , before we lose the room”
“fuck,“ she hissed under her breath hearing him say they’ll take the room. by the tone of his voice she already knew there was no way she could make him change his mind. besides... she was also very tired, yet she didn’t want to admit. “fine,“ kaia sighed closing her eyes for a moment and taking a step aside to let him come to the front desk and pay for the room. it seemed like no big deal for him, but for kaia it kind of was. she still held some resentment towards him from leaving her without a single word that one summer right before his first year of college. once the room was paid for kaia picked up her backpack, put it on her shoulder and left the reception to find their room.
do you think i would choose to live without you?
“Holy —“ she gasped being startled by the other suddenly appearing in front of her as she walked in her kitchen. “Do you want to get punched in the face? Because this is how you get punched in the face!“ Heart still pounding, annoyance in her tone, Liv began heading to her fridge once more. “I’ve been in special forced, had military training, you are lucky I didn’t break any of your bones for scaring me like that,“ she hissed at them. “Didn’t I tell you that the key to my apartment was for emergencies only?“ At that moment she realized the window was open and she was sure it was closed before, which made her question if they even used the door to come in, which was odd and alerted her. “Has something happened?“ she asked all serious turning to them.

𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐖𝐊𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃, he thought. he couldn’t hold back the laughter, unable to hold it. it was a bit funny too, chris couldn’t lie. “ just my luck. — god, let’s pretend that never happened, ” he said with his lips pressed together tightly which prevented him from laughing even more. chris has had a few shots by that point, so it was only making him loosen up a bit, which meant trying not to laugh was impossible at that point. “ but ! i must say you were really good. — you didn’t hear that though because this never happened, right ? ” he was making no sense, rambling at that point. “ shit, what are you doing here ? it’s good to see you though, it’s been… how long ? years, for sure. ” the guys he was with could tell there was something off and that the two probably knew each other since they ended up talking for a bit. and they were starting to point at them, teasing christopher. “ sorry about that, they’re… pure assholes, ” he laughs.
his laughter was contagious, and the fact that this was kind of an embarrassing situation to meet after so many years didn’t help either. “yes, i second that!” she agreed with a nod right away, looking at him, feeling her face getting hot. she could tell he was just as thrown off guard by this sudden meet up as she was, maybe even more. since this was a bachelor party she was hired for, emery figured he had already some alcohol in his system, because that wouldn’t be a bachelor party without an alcohol, and that would also explain his laughing. “if i would have heard that, i’d say thank you, but since i didn’t...” emery shrugged and a chuckle followed. at this point she was starting to feel more eyes on her and for some weird reason she was starting to feel a bit embarrassed about standing there dressed so little. it was fine when there were only strangers around, but when there was at least someone who knew her and wasn’t aware of this part of her life it was completely different. besides the last time chris had seen her dressed so little was when they were still together. “yea’, it’s really good to see you. except it would be better if it wasn’t like this - shaking my goods right in front of your face,” she laughed and coyly turned away for a moment. some guys were even whistling in their direction. as much as she’d love to stay and catch up, her time had ran out. “well, either way, this is your night, i don’t want to keep you away from your friends,” she said closing the distance between her and chris, placing her hands on his shoulders. “congratulations on your engagement,” she smiled and pressed her lips on his cheek. it felt a little bittersweet to say this. she was happy for him, but there was time everyone thought they were each other’s endgame, they’d get married and live happily ever after. well, life had other plans for them.
Parker had broken yet another punchbag, his chest heaving and his muscles burning. Picking up another, he hooked the heavy bag onto the dangling carabiner and secured it. As he began to hit the bag in front of him as hard as he could, his entire upper body stiffened. He always came into the gym after work to get out his stress before he went home, not wanting to contaminate his home environment with bad energy. He heard the door clang, making him stop and turn his head to see who had entered.
Like almost every Wednesday evening Layla was heading to the gym to help her brother out and sort out the finances. She was veterinarian by day and accountant for her brother, who owned a gym, by Wednesday evenings. Accounting was what she learned in college the first time. She liked it, but after a while she realized it wasn’t quite what she wanted to do for living. Studying veterinary came after that, which was what she felt truly passionate about. And when her brother needed a helping hand with his finances she couldn’t say no. As she entered the gym she already saw some familiar faces, Parker being one of them, he was one of the regulars. How did she know? It wasn’t like she was there only on Wednesdays, she came to this same gym to work out too. There had been occasional greetings and helping out with the technique of some exercises (it was always Parker correcting Layla). “Destroying my brother’s property I see?” she asked with a playful smirk walking up to him on her way to the office.
deamuses:
“Exactly. You stop to think about it for a second and all the ifs come rushing and then you keep putting up things… Not worth it.” Ace shrugged. He chuckled slightly as he heard the second thing she mentioned that was waiting in her list but decided to wait until he had ordered their drinks, he got another beer and asked Bailey’s screwdriver, then turned towards her as he waited, smiled at her question and shrugged. “Just the last minutes of it. Didn’t know you could dance like that.” His friend was back with his bottle and the brunettte’s glass and Ace paid for both. “I didn’t know it was you at first then you flipped your hair and…” He whistled, his hand finding her back and pointing to the door that led to an internal patio. “Now, what you said abaout wrap yourself in bubble wrap, ou got that from Friends? When Chandler wraps Joey’s head?” Ace asked her once the music subsided and it was possible to talk; he guided them to an ampty table with large stools passing couples making-out and going at each other against dark corners. By the time he was sitting an idea had formed inside his mind and he would propose it to Bailey soon, they weren’t exactly far from the sea and it was quite early…. Ace wasn’t sure why he’d do such a thing for her except that he was always down for impromptu plans.
“That’s something I should learn to do,“ Bailey commented, thinking she should keep his words in mind. Who knows how many opportunities she had missed because of waiting for the right time. She blushed lightly at his words, it was the last minutes too much, but there was nothing she could change about it, all she could do was to own it now. “Thank you,“ she looked up at him through her lashes taking a sip from her drink. “I don’t usually dance like that in public, only when I’m with my bestie, feeling comfortable and free enough, so it’s kind of an exclusive performance you got to see,“ Bailey playfully patted his chest and laughed, his whistling giving her a boost of confidence. Staying close to him, she let Ace lead her to the door and out. “Yes, that’s how that idea started. And also the place I used to work as a teenager had big rolls of bubble wrap and I really wanted to try, you know,“ she replied with a smile, maneuvering between other tables and couples occupied with each other. Once they reached an empty table, she put down her drink and put on his jacket properly, with her arms in the sleeves instead of just having the jacket sitting on her shoulders. The sleeves were a bit too long her her, so she pushed them halfway up, and to complete the look she zipped the jacket halfway up, showing off a bit of cleavage. “You know what... I’m glad I lost my shirt, your jacket is amazing,“ she chuckled. Noticing the zipper was a bit too low and showed a bit of her bra, she pulled it a bit more up.
open to: m plot: my bff is getting married and me and my s/o planned to drive to the wedding, which is a three day trip, but two days before the trip we had a big fight and broke up, but my bff didn’t want me to drive alone, so she made me to go with you - her hot, single brother, who i used to have a mad crush on back in high school and who i slept with right before you went to college and you just left without a goodbye and this is going to be awkward
“We have a room with a Queen size bed we can offer,“ the lady at the reception said giving Kaia and him an all knowing smile. “Oh, no, no, we’re not together,“ Kaia shook her head and chuckled at the lady’s assumption. “We’re just friends on a road trip. We’ll take a room with two single beds, please,“ she continued. “Sorry, unfortunately we have just this one left,“ the lady gave them an apologetic shrug. It was late and Kaia was tired, but she didn’t want to share a bed with him, it would feel weird and she had just broken up with her boyfriend, having a different man in her bed was a bit too much. “Maybe we can drive to another motel?“ Kaia asked turning to him.
weirdnovelties:
Jesse watched her as she took her first sip of it, honestly hoping it was up to her qualifications and smiling a little proudly when it seemed he’d succeeded. “No problem.” he shrugged, picking his own beer back up and taking a swig. At her next question, he shrugged a shoulder as if he didn’t have an entire scheme planned the moment he’d realized who she was. But before he could even try and sell that lie, she continued, her abrupt honesty catching him a little off guard. “Ouch. Straight and to the point. Kinda dig that.” he nodded with a little chuckle. “But hey, people grow up after high school, right? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I was definitely a total tool back then,” he laughed, going as far to wince lightly as if he were truly ashamed of his past behavior. “But I’d kinda like to hope I changed. I mean, clearly you have.” he added, gesturing vaguely at her. His eyes trailed over her for a moment, biting his bottom lip before he met her gaze again. “I dunno, I recognized you and remembered who you were and…I guess I…wanted to show you I wasn’t still the jackass who used to get you to do my homework and let me copy your tests.” he shrugged before shooting her a flirty little smirk. “And…maybe I was trying to see if that little crush of yours might still be floating around in there somewhere.” he added. It was probably the most honest thing he’d said all night.
“Yes, well, that’s something that have changed since high school,“ she shrugged nonchalantly. Her past self would never talk to him so straightforward, in fact she probably wouldn’t be able to talk to him without stuttering and blushing furiously at all. But Margo had grown, feeling more comfortable in her skin, not giving any fucks about what others thought, owning her geek-ish nature and if she wanted to know something the best way to find that out was to ask. Margo raised a brow in slight amused disbelief, he admitted being a tool? That was new. “Glad to see you know and admit that,“ she commented and took another sip from her drink. But what came next took her completely off guard, although she should have seen that coming. Good thing Margo had just swallowed, otherwise she would have choked on her drink. Somehow it had slipped her mind the last time he saw her was when she was on the skinny side, owned no make-up except from a mascara and wore slightly ill-fitting clothes. Now she had gotten more curves from eating properly and going to the gym, her clothes were flattering and she felt more confident now. “You saw me and thought ‘now she looks good enough to go and actually talk to her instead of making her do my homework’?“ she asked with a bit of hurt in her voice. Only after she said it Margo realized it sounded like she was attacking him, but it wasn’t like that. Okay, maybe it was. She still had a bit of resentment towards him. Margo didn’t reply to his lip biting and flirty glances, she just rolled her eyes. “You’re so full of yourself!“ she laughed, yet she didn’t leave like someone, who would be done with his flirting would do. “It faded sometime during my first year in college,“ the girl confessed with a shrug. “Out of sight, out of mind, you know,“ Margo said, lips curving in a small, playful smirk, she was starting to enjoy this.
