Nonverbal communication and Perryshmirtz

I do enjoy Doofenshmirtz understanding Perry's trills as a way of convenience or cartoon logic. But I find it boring and love thinking about ways Perry could also communicate without speaking platypus.

-I take a lot of inspiration from body language in cats, even though a platypus in real life aren't as expressive animals. Perry's tail can sway and wag. It can be perky when he's happy and droop when he's sad or anxious. Doofenshmirtz has mostly been able to recognize his tail language.

Perry can also thump his tail on the ground like a bunny thumping it's legs to express frustration or to pout.

-in quieter more intimate snuggly situations I like to write Doofenshmirtz asking for consent to touch/pet him by putting it near his beak or head and waiting for him to rub himself against him. But most of the time he'll just ask out loud.

-Eyes! He can point with his eyes. He can make lots of facial expressions. He slow blinks around people he loves. His pupils dialate depending on the situation. Tiny when he's upset or panicked and huge when he's comfortable or euphoric. He can make eye contact which can mean a lot of things depending on context clues.

-Pointing with his beak as well as his hands, especially when he's walking on all fours. Nodding or shaking his head. Titling his head to express skepticism or confusion.

-facing away from Doofenshmirtz intentionally so that Doofenshmirtz can't read his face.

-literally leading Doofenshmirtz to places

-ASL in certain situations, mostly gestures he's picked up from Ferb doing them.

-he can write if he's desperate enough to say something very specific but I like to think Perry expresses himself best nonverbally.

One more look and Heinz be like " yea yea I'll never yell at this rude cashier again" or " I think you don't like my new outfit" etc

How much money do you think Doof has? Like, come on, the amount he spends on his inators AND rebuilding the penthouse that he resides in, you'd think he'd run out at some point, right?

I think he spent all his money when he made the "made-of-gold-inator" . That's his limit. His ex wife gives him way too much money

Imagine Perry and Doofenshmirtz in bed together at night snuggling and Doofenshmirtz is talking about radiation in general. Radiation exposure and how it hurts your body through breaking down cells and why chemotherapy works. And Perry is just listening to him as background noise until he falls asleep and Doofenshmirtz tires himself out from talking.
