Time for him to go.
cursedspear:
“ WHAT reasons , Eochaidh ? “
“I wanna be cool..”
Eochaidh: *embarrassed by his dad but humors him anyway bc he loves him*
riastradd:
“There is no glory to be found in fighting children. Come back when you are an adult.”
“Did y’not fight a child before? It’s not like y’can’t.”
LET HIM ACHIEVE HIS DREAM OF KICKING CU’S ASS AND WOOING EMER
cursedspear:
“ ARE you perchance familiar with Mo Ghile Mear ? “ he inquires , before he softly sings the chorus , as if to refresh Eochadh’s memories . “ Sé mo laoch , mo Ghile Mear, 'Sé mo Chaesar , Ghile Mear , Suan ná séan ní bhfuaireas féin Ó chuaigh i gcéin mo Ghile Mear . “
“S-Sé mo laoch..” It takes a few seconds for him to get it, awkwardly repeating after his father to jog his memory; but he does get it, and when he does, he attempts to sing on to the next part. Though in his mind, he’s still not quite sure it was the right song. And it sort of showed on his face.
“ ♪ ..Bímse buan ar buaidhirt gach ló, Ag caoi go cruaidh 's ag tuar na ndeór... ♪ ”
riastradd:
“Beat it— I don’t fight little kids.”
H-how dare-- “Y’sure ‘bout that?”
riastradd started following you
“FIGHT ME--”
“Why’s m’dad married t’some weirdo? That a kink? I never knew..”
He feels like there are things he shouldn’t be seeing or hearing
Eochaidh is a very shameless boy. The only thing that can really fluster him would be sincere affection. He is very weak to others giving him genuine compliments and affections because it isn’t something he gets often.
Here he goes, playing with Gáe Buidhe...
cursedspear:
“ I thought you’d say no , which is why I was going to offer to sing with you either way . My voice is nowhere near as lovely as yours or your grandfather’s , but if it makes you happy , I’ll do it . Is there a song in particular you’d like to sing ? “
Was it him, or was his dad enjoying this a little too much.. ah, whatever. Eochaidh turns to face his father with a rather obvious pout on his face.
“Any song’s fine. I don’t wanna pick one y’might not know..”
cursedspear:
“ MY dear boy , if my words were not sincere , I wouldn’t have bothered to speak them . I’m not here to fill my children’s heads with false flattery , “ he responds , ruffling the youth’s hair . “ No … I truly believe you have a gift for song , just as your grandfather does . Now … were you going to finish that song ? “
Eugh.. what’s with all this embarrassing things going on. The boy’s face is already red, and he turns away, arms crossed. “No.”
Though his shoulders droop a little as he relents. “B..but if y’wanted.. t’sing t’gether, s’not like I’d mind..”
Eochaidh, while his parents "affectionately” roast him:
“A normal wednesday.”
Eochaidh, his parents giving him love and support, a wholesome family:
“WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE”
mageas replied to your post: “ ♪ This is the end. Hold your breath and...
LOUD CLAPPING. LOOK AT MY SON.
HE’S GONNA GO JUMP IN THAT DITCH BYE
cursedspear:
“ WHY did you stop , Eochaidh ? You have a voice to rival Aengus Og’s own . That’s nothing to be shy about , is it ? “
“I didn’ think y’were nearby. Y’don’t need t’flatter me, I know I need t’practice more.. isn’t all that great..”
