Do you ever look for book covers of different colour hues? Like blue, black, or pink?
I put together a list of these types of book covers that I could see myself adding to my bookshelf... I started easy, and grew in intensity of dark colours, the first few are not fully black and rather have some accent of colour in them, red, blue, or in between. The first is white in the background, but the Girl (Nevernight) in the shadows is fully at the front.
Light Dark Colour or Striking Accent: Nevernight. The Poppy War.
Shadowy & Bold Choice: Serpent & Dove
Trust the Mood: A Deadly Education
Check out the full list here: 11 Books with Dark Covers
I have these editions of Pride & Prejudice and Wuthering Heights that caught my attention at the bookstore, dearies, and well, I had to tap on them and show what the sounds were like. Let me know over on YouTube what you think. :)
Have you read The Chronicles of Narnia? I am in book 4 now, and it was not what I was expecting from it. #books
hello dearies 🐉 episode 24 of EachPage Flow is here and it's a confession.
I didn't fully like The Dream Thief the first time I read it. I was very vocal about it. And then I reread it and I think I completely misunderstood it.
It's a fantasy historical romance, second in Shana Abé's Drakon series, shapeshifters, 18th century Europe, a magical diamond, a slow burn, and an age gap that the 1700s somehow make easier to accept.
In the end I did give 5 stars and this saga is one of my favourites.

Spoiler Time Sunday: Odd Queries I saw online about Namaikizakari (Cheeky Brat)
Hello, dearies! Another Sunday, another potential day for spoilers! Before anything, this is my 400th post! I thought it would be fitting to do it with a tribute to a story I love. ❤️ I don’t like spoilers as you know, but I felt that I could answer some odd questions about Cheeky Brat for you, in case you are curious to know more about this manga that is one of my top 5 favourite…

I made two free reading trackers and I think you might like them
one is sakura-spring-petals-and-cherry-blossoms coded. the other is hogwarts-candlelight-dark-academia coded, both are free printable PDFs you can actually use.
they live on my Patreon under The Bookish Study Sessions (Vol. 2) and free members get full access just like paid members, no catch.
if you're the kind of person who tracks your reads in a pretty journal or just wants something magical on your desk this spring, these are for you 🍵

Spoiler Time Sunday: Stranger Things season 5
Hello, dearies! Welcome to the blog. As you might have read before, I did a special post for Stranger Things when season 4 was out and finished, but after that? Silence from me. Why? There are reasons, and yes, I will tell you know, but beware, this has spoilers, so continue at your own peril. Continue reading Spoiler Time Sunday: Stranger Things season 5
It looks interesting after all, so I have saved the date...
Check out the latest about the new show on the blog.
started Namaikizakari thinking “just one chapter” "let's try it out"... anyway that was years ago, I live here now and my standards are ruined
What do these book covers have in common?
Not much?
They are dark and they are not thriller books... Check out the full dark cover books in the blog for more books to add to your TBR and make them look pretty:

11 Books with Dark Covers [That are not Mystery]
Hello, dearies! Following my Blue Covers book challenge, I decided to take a turn at darker tones and hues and check for dark coloured book covers, but, these are not mystery or suspense, but fantasy or magical. Do you have your bookshelves organised by colour? I do it sometimes. It was not so easy as you might think to find these 11 books, but I like research, so here’s the list, you can add…

Books to Movies to actually be excited about
Hello, dearies! Welcome to a mini update, and a bookish one that I didn’t know was moving so fast to completion. There are some movies coming to the big screens this 2026, other than Sunrise on the Reaping that is. We already knew about it, and we are waiting anxiously and excitedly for it.
