What do you think about Zoro's fights since the timeskip? I mean, we never got to see him at full power and I've seen a lot of ppl saying he's just useless now and that he's falling behind Sanji (I have to point out that I absolutely do not agree with that) especially since WCI

i’m starting to get very tired of people asking me what i think of the opinion that certain characters are “useless,” either in a specific arc or in general, because my answer is invariably “no, and also that’s stupid.” i find that kind of power-scaling-obsessed mindset boring and exhausting and i want nothing to do with it. not that fights aren’t fun, but characters exist outside of the fights they win.

(i’m not mad at you, btw, you just hit on a trend in the fandom that irritates me a lot.)

none of the strawhats are useless. they all have their own roles in the story. sometimes that means they aren’t winning huge fights. sometimes they are out of focus within the story in favor of other characters, as with zoro during whole cake island. that’s how storytelling with multiple characters works.
